Round 1 Game 1 | Cavs vs Pacers | April 15, 2017 | 3:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Any NBA fan that thinks a playoff win for their team is pathetic either is an idiot or simply has idiotic thoughts? Which one are you? I'm hoping the latter

Did you not see the Cavs walking on D?

Happy for a win. Gotta improve a helluva lot more.

Lance just did today what we wanted from Shump and would have been a lot more battle tested than Derrick Williams (meaning he'd get mins)

Still think Pacers are going to be more demoralized with outcome than Cavs will be disappointed with how they played. Game 2 should be a blowout.

Gonna be the opposite. They've got zero things to fear. We can't defend and now they know there is no switch.

A win is a win. 15 more to go.

Wasnt clean by any stretch but it counts all the same

You must be delusional if you think this cavs team can get out of ECF. Need to get their shit together.

Lots of negatives, but positives were definitely, efficiency, better defense. ( although still bad)

I think two things.. we rebound like ass and we had some low IQ shots in the 4th.. if Kyrie can fix trey, Jr can get a little offense, and Tristan can buy a rebound in the fourth, this is an easy game..

this might be the worst defending championship team in a while...big names but we just are a very average team
Kyrie/Love's improved offensive play has caused the defense to suffer. LeBron can't guard elite wing players more than situations/ spot mins at this stage of his career.

Thought JR looked much better today on defense (a lot of PGs points were the result of switches) but still uncomfortable on offense. Hope he pulls together, because they will need him on both ends.

Why are people cheering so much? That was a pathetic effort today, Cavs should be embarrassed

Because in the post-season a win is a win. You win, learn from the tape, and then adjust for the next game. This isn't the regular season. They won't be getting on a flight to LA for a game tomorrow night.

The team had games/moments like this in last season's series vs. Detroit. The game-thread also had posters saying the same similar things like they don't feel good about this win, etc.,

We will make adjustments and see how game 2 goes. At the end of the day, we won and are up 1-0 in the series.

The whole team should be practicing free throws.

Kyrie shot poorly and we were in control most of the game.

We have to get a lot better if we want to beat whoever comes out of the West.

6 rebounds isn't going to cut it from LeBron.

Hate to say this, but for the Cavs to get to the finals as healthy/rested as possible (only way we have a shot to beat the west) is is LeBron averages a triple double throughout the playoffs or at least close to it. He's done so before. 43 mins and only 6 boards is not enough. Has to be better.

Indiana just isn't going to eliminate the Cavs in the 1st round. Most important thing is for the Cavs to play well and that's not it.
I wanted to see a statement and I see was the same old team that can't even maintain a lead on several occasions in 1 game of the playoffs. Sure, enjoy that win but don't forget that the end goal is a championship and winning the east isn't worth a damn.

If the Cavs want to give themselves a chance they need to see good production out of JR and not burn LEbron till the east finals.

After that great defensive play by Kyrie with a little less than a minute less LeBron should have initiated the offense but so be it.

Bron and Kyrie both missed some 4th qtr bunnies they normally make. It's the only reason the game was in reach for the Pacers in the final two minutes.

My main critique today with Lue and I hope this is a lesson learned but he left Frye in too late, not subbing him out for TT until about 3:30 to go. Frye made some good shots including one 4th qtr three, but from the 6 minute mark to when TT subbed back in, Indiana controlled the boards.

Anyways, it's the playoffs. The rosters are set. You just play one game at a time and every win is equal. Every series is also different. The whole Detroit series we had half our fan base saying "who cares if we swept, it was too close, GS will East us alive." Get that shit out of here, buckle up, and enjoy watching your team trying to defend a championship.
