Round 1 Game 1 | Cavs vs Pacers | April 15, 2017 | 3:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lets be honest, if they hit their free throws and block out on the defensive side of things this is a blow out.

Lance stephenson went 8-13 from the feild and pg was 6-8 from 3, pacers shot 45% from 3. Mean while the cavs missed 13 free throws. The pacers played a great game and lost. The cavs played a B+ game and won.

Great game pacers you still lost

Indiana just isn't going to eliminate the Cavs in the 1st round. Most important thing is for the Cavs to play well and that's not it.
I wanted to see a statement and I see was the same old team that can't even maintain a lead on several occasions in 1 game in the playoffs. Sure, enjoy that win but don't forget that the end goal is a championship and winning the east isn't worth a damn.

Thanks. I came in a little harsh and you responded in a measured way.

As far as how it looked and how it translates to future series, been there done that with Detroit last year. In the playoffs every game is unique and every series is unique. 16 wins is all that matters.

Kevin needs more than 9 shots.

We should have gone to him more in the first half, but in the 2nd half, he was trash. That said, Kyrie wasn't very good offensively in the 2nd half either and shot 27 times.

Lue made a good move at the end taking out Love and bringing in Jefferson for defensive purposes. Very underrated move.

I think some of the doom and gloom in here is a bit out of control.. if we make a normal percentage at the free throw line this is relatively easy win. I agree with LeBron that more defensive effort was there today. Hopefully some more of that can be cleaned up. Lance played over his head in the 4th quarter particularly. Seriously.. when did we as Cavs/Cleveland fans take winning a playoff game so for granted? Remember... every game against the Pistons last season was close. Pacers are not a bad team.

One major point of concern for me was JR Smith. He looks horrible. I am almost to the point of putting Korver in the starting group and having him play ~30 minutes. Seeing the gravity that Korver has... man. Pacers are terrified of him.

I believe we win going away in game 2.
I think the doom and gloom is coming from the fact that the team looks no different than it did during the last couple months of the season...Defense was awful...no intensity...etc...

14-27 from the line. 14-27. Professionals.

These guys are so fundamentally unsound.

I don't how anyone can play with Paul George. He was yelling at Miles for missing that shot. That's a really poor attitude.

You have no idea what he was saying to him.

Not impressed. Thank our lucky stars Dion got injured, Miami would have definitely taken that game. Pacers are a one man show so as subpar as we can play it'll be over in 4-5.

But missing FTs and being a not so good rebounding team has been common the entire second half of the season. this wansn't out of the ordinary here.

You're just wrong. We allowed only 49 points in the second half. Some big time defensive plays were made.. defense was more than good enough to win this game. It can improve, and I believe it will.. but it did look different. Seriously.. make 7-8 more FT's, we win easily. It's that simple.

Not the best game, but it's a win! Hopefully this was just first game playoff jitters.

@SanduskyCav, fuck off. You're on ignore. No need to continuously follow me around and disagree with my post.
I think I disagreed with you twice, because I disagreed. And gave you a winner on one post.

We will make adjustments and see how game 2 goes. At the end of the day, we won and are up 1-0 in the series.

The whole team should be practicing free throws.

Kyrie shot poorly and we were in control most of the game.

We have to get a lot better if we want to beat whoever comes out of the West.

Real coaches make adjustments. Not Lue.
