2017 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I assume it would be the teams the Browns contacted who would leak that the Browns want to trade up, but I agree there is absolutely no reason for the Browns to leak that their target is Trubisky. That part sounds like speculation.
Even so, Silver is bff's with Hue, so I don't see him leaking their plans.

You also wonder if other teams are saying they talked to the browns about moving up, but the other team initiated the call. The only reason something would be leaked is if one of the teams had something to gain. A top 8 team, might not like what the Browns offered, or they have no offers and want others to think they have one to get one. I just do not see the Browns moving up from 12, if anything I can see them moving back from 12, and maybe moving up from 33.

I'm just getting a strong feeling that we come out of the draft with Myles and Mitch. Seems likely we move up to scoop Mitch.

Fully expecting it going into tomorrow night.

Don't shoot the messenger but I know a guy at who claims to have a Browns contact. He's been right about a few things over the past year or so.

Anyways he says the Browns are basically all in on Josh Dobbs. Said Browns ideal scenario is Garrett, BPA(too many unpredictables between 1-12), and Dobbs after a trade up from 33 into the first.

This is probably totally wrong. But whatever. :chuckle:

I'm going to hold steadfast in my belief that the Browns stay at all their draft slots in the first two rounds and eschew taking a QB until the later rounds.

Not gonna shoot the messenger, but Dobbs in the first would lead to me shooting myself.

Dobbs in the first would not shock me at all.

I think he's certainly in play at 33 or 52.

12/trade back a few spots:
Pat Mahomes

33:
DeShaun Watson
Mitch Trubisky

65:
Josh Dobbs

So you don't think he will last until 65 now?

or are you saying he is in play b/c you think the Browns may not go QB #12 and play it be ear with Dobbs? I know Dobbs is rising up many teams' boards, so they may have to jump the gun if they are in love with him.

I can see this as a scenario but trading UP into the 1st round for Dobbs seems unlikely. You never know though. Would be certainly something against the grain with the pundits. I haven't heard anything with him and the Browns but I would not be surprised to see them target Kizer after the #12 pick; either at 33 or a slight trade up.

I don't think he makes it to 65 anymore.

Not sure how comfortable I'd be at 33, but 52 is probably not much different from 65 if we're talking about a kid who has potential to be your starting QB.

I'd survive.
