So he just drove down the asking price making it possible a team like the Cavs could swing a deal around TT, Osman, and potentially JR/Shumpert. The only way it's possible for Cavs to land a big 4 with George, was George working this angle.

In no way am I saying this deal gets done, but it's the start of the dominos we needed.

Was just listening to Windy on ESPN Radio. He said at this point, if Cavs offered Love, Indy would accept that trade in 5 minutes.

I should be clear, I don't think he was speaking from any inside knowledge. Just more so stating the position that Indy now finds themselves in.

The rumor I heard after game 2 was Cavs getting creative around TT to try and make something work. And that the Cavs goal would be a "big 4".

For the Cavs to get a "big 4", they can't move Love or Kyrie.

Indiana is now in the unenviable spot of having rights to a guy who is undoubtedly gone after next season. Beyond that, the Lakers are in a tough spot because they don't want to trade away assets when they could sign him outright in 2018.

When you start looking at deals to be made around the league, really the best offer may come from Cleveland by way of TT and Osman. It's not that unfathomable....
 
My trade is PG13 and Thad Young for Love and Shumpert.

I take the chance on PG13 coming back after playing on the big stage

Kevin gives them options. They can keep him.... or swing him for a first round pick.
 
If we trade a core piece for George, for example Love or TT, it will be rough when George bolts in a season.

It would... but PG says he also wants to win. He's not doing that with the Lakers in the Western Conference anytime soon.

Makes no sense for the Lakers to surrender assets for him when he's already stated he's opting out. I think teams saw the Melo fuck up. Just wait for him in free agency.

Cavs could conceivably go all in on a rental. Dump TT and another contract with Cedi and any future asset you could scrape together.

Just take a homer swing in 17-18' and hope you can convince him to stay.

I could see PG13's camp leaking the story so he can get on a good team like us without giving up much in terms of assets. If the goal is to win why do you want to weaken the team you are going to. PG13 could be telling LeBron or Kyrie behind close doors that he wants to play for us and it would definitely sign after this year is up. Lebron or Kyrie could definitely go back to Griff or Gilbert to pull the trigger and not to worry.

Imagine if Love played it this way, would the Wolves have been willing to take Waiters instead of Wiggins?

It's quite simple...he wants to be traded. You think he wants to play in front of Indiana fans all next year after announcing he's walking?

George is getting traded this summer....but where?
