The Paul George Safari: LeBron Strikes Back!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is there any scenario where we don't get swept by that gang of assholes with the roster as is?

We are probably the 2nd best team in the league right now, probably the closest to catch these assholes, and we'd still struggle to win a game against them.

This isn't just a cavs problem either. Literally no other team can beat them. Not Boston, Not Houston, Not San Antonio, Not the Clippers, Not the Raptors...No one.

You can't beat a team like this that has the refs (read the league, adam silver, ESPN) in their pockets, plus a freak of nature bench, some assholes that seem to make every fucking shot, and oh yeah, they added the 2nd best player in the world because he's a cuck with no balls.

Maybe an argument "could" be made if somehow Boston got some sort of 2008-like upgrade. Maybe some fictional LA Lakers superteam that is in the works. Maybe PG/Butler/Westbrook/Griffin on us...I don't know.

I do know one thing. We gotta at least TRY to enter into this arms race. I don't know how it's done, but something has to be done. This isn't even just about us any more. It's about the sake of sanity, competiton for the league. Because if the Cavs don't step up? We're gonna be stuck with these assholes for a long time.

I think if we managed some sort of coup to bring in Paul George along with a talent like Melo and/or got really lucky in free agency, we could do it.

Should have been a 6 game series but coulda-shoulda-woulda. I think George makes us best suited to take them but we'd need to make up for lost Love (heh) and it'd still be a tough series.

is he moving to Bill Cowers house in Strongsville?

Do we really need a big trade though? I'd argue that we either need to add another all star to our big 3, or try and build up our bench. Luckily for us it's possible that we can do both depending on what happens with the Knicks and whatever moves the Cavs can do to add some depth.

We should acquire tough, athletic defensive role players to surround our big 3. Only them (and Jr) did anything offensively even with all our shooters and our offensive output was still good...our defense was our downfall. Construct a defensive team to harass and make life miserable for the warriors while letting our big 3 carry the offensive load.

Warriors defense has shown they can shut down our shooters...might as well get guys that can at least attempt to do the same to them on the other end if we're not gonna get offensive contributions. And for the love of everything good and holy..find a wing (or wings) to throw at KD to take a load off of LeBron.

Having the best offense didn't matter in the finals. And since getting PG or Butler is not happening, the next best thing we can do is try to get role players to turn us into a top defensive team (which is unlikely as well smh). Players like Beverly, Tony Allen, Sefolosha, James Johnson, Bogut etc.

That's the best we can hope for at this point...

That moving truck is kinda small for all his shit....

We should be pushing HARD to try to get a Carmelo/Porzingis package from the Knicks. I know it's a long shot, but Porzingis is exactly what we need -- a talented rim protector on defense who can be a perimeter threat on offense. The Knicks would be crazy to trade him, but not many teams out there would be willing to take Carmelo off their hands and give them a prime-aged star who will be a fan draw like Love.

Porzingis' offense is good but not great, but he is showing signs of real stardom on the defensive end and would already be a huge benefit for us on that end. This is the perfect environment for him because he won't have to carry the team on offense, he can score opportunistically while working on improving his timing and strength on defense.

He might not own all the shit in the house; a lot of it could be rented.
Really? Those guys would rent furniture, especially at 28 years old?
I can see a young dude first year guy do it, but not someone his age...I could be wrong

I have no idea... People who have been in/filmed Dwight Howard's house said it was absurd and he owned a lot of novelty weird shit. Same for Jimmy Butler.

And another reason to push hard for Porzingis/Carmelo...it would be bad if the Celtics got him:

The Celtics have offered the Knicks a deal for Kristaps Porzingis that includes their No. 3 pick, an additional lottery pick that they think they can acquire tonight and a player, executives familiar with Boston's offer told ESPN. Obviously, the trade would be contingent on Boston acquiring that pick, which would likely be ahead of the Knicks' No. 8 pick. It is unclear at this point if the Knicks have interest in the trade. Phil Jackson said the club is taking calls on trades for Porzingis.

So irritating not to have a GM at this crucial time

They have someone acting as a GM but even if we had a GM we would still be sitting on our thumbs doing nothing

1. This is still a dumb trade for Phil.
2. We can't come close to topping this.
3. Billups needs to get off of his hands and offer Frye/RJ/Shump + a low value pick for Melo. Knicks should build around Kristaps and the #8 pick, and flip our scraps for assets.
