Once again proving he's a clown, spending his time speaking in front of thousands of impressionable and driven youth, choosing only to talk about cheap political talking points, taking jabs at his opponents, and gloating about his election victory... STILL.
I am an Eagle Scout and attended the 2010 Jamboree when Obama didn't show up in person. I believe he did an interview on The View that day and a lot of people were pissed off. I was sorely disappointed personally, I really wanted to see a sitting president. Plenty of people booed the video he sent in to the Jamboree. Not a surprise since Scouting attracts a lot of hard right people anyway. But I much prefer that scene to potentially having to listen to this troubled man spew whatever diarrhea he decided to let out. Especially since I'd be surrounded by people cheering someone who couldn't be more of an antithesis of Scouting's ideals:
Trustworthy - pathological liar
Loyal - seems attached to no one but the daughter he wants to bang
Helpful - to who?
Friendly - asshole
Courteous - asshole
Kind - asshole
Obedient - rules don't apply to him
Cheerful - what an angry cunt
Thrifty - HA
Brave - coward
Clean - STDs were his personal Vietnam
Reverent - HA, I'm an atheist and I'm more reverent to God than this hunk of dick
This doesn't really matter though. It's just a sad reminder that we have the least eloquent president of all time currently. I think it's silly when people want to say he's the worst overall, given monsters like Andrew Jackson. Maybe the least organized? I don't know. But he may very well be the worst-spoken. W was a horrible orator and could give much more coherent and thoughtful speeches. It's just kinda sad that this guy is supposed to speak on our behalf to the world and to our children.
EDIT: I'll say, in direct response to the clip, that he's full of shit.
1) People are allowed to say Merry Christmas already and no presidential decree is going to change the decisions the market dictated on that.
2) The fake victimhood of Christians in America is laughably stupid.
3) Why would he bring that up? The BSA is NOT a Christian organization. They encourage spirituality and have awards for every major religion, including Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. Even though I am in direct violation of this tenet of Scouting via my atheism, I seem to have a better grasp on it than Trump. "Duty to God" has and will continue to be about giving reverence to your religion as well as the religion of others. But then again, the vast majority of Scouts are Christian and the vast majority of sponsoring orgs for Troops are churches (tons of Mormons, hence the anti-gay stuff previously).
