#52 DeShone Kizer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Deep ball was obviously fantastic but how do you guys feel about mid range throws? I didn't get a chance to catch his while game. He didn't fall back on check downs like rookies do, did he?

Not from what I saw, but I missed his first drive or so.

He was on-point. He made a laser back-shoulder throw to Boyce on the sideline and it hit him in the face mask--drop.

He was throwing well with anticipation.

The only poor thing he did was starting to hold the ball a bit in the late going, but it's because he faced large down and distance (penalties) and needed to let guys get downfield. He had a very very poor line. In the third, he took off a few times for decent gains. In the 4th, he was trying to stay in the pocket.

All in all, he looked good.

He's going to make mistakes. However, if he starts, he's also going to score us points with his arm.

I once said that I forgot Deshone Kizer was in the draft.

I'll take my crow medium rare.

I love that the first reply to that tweet is this:

Like some said, his issue was clearly holding the ball a little too long here and there. But had a lot to do with situations.

He moved well and scrambled a few times, but I also think he may be trying extra hard to not just bail out and run every time he feels pressure.

My big issue with last night was just that he wasn’t playing with top flight players. We can temper as much we want cause he faced 3rd stringers, but also need to remember he had some garbage playing WITH him too. He had some great throws under pressure from piss poor OL play.

Just excited to see him get first team run. His polish, arm and command of the position just seems far better than Kessler already and then Brock... I don’t even know. Fuck that guy. (Though I liked Kessler more than Brock. Kessler would be even more servicable if he knew how to get rid of the ball.)
