#52 DeShone Kizer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was.

...

It's not that I think kizer is a bad qb I just happen to agree with the anaylst's the day we drafted him. This was the wrong place at the wrong time for him.

Coaching hasn’t done him any favors this year, but his accuracy, processing speed and decision making just aren’t NFL caliber right now.

He’s only 21 and the latter two things typically improve with time and experience, but he just shouldn’t be on an NFL field at this point and time.

Call him Lightning Kizer. His throws never strike twice in the same place.

No I take that back. He is very consistent.

at red zone interceptions.

I have no problem with Kizer's personality so long as Hue Jackson is coaching this football team.

There is zero doubt this kid has all the physical tools to succeed. I actually have full trust in Jackson to get the most out of his talent.

This guy in the right system is a franchise changing talent. Praying this is that right system.

This thread is pure gold.

The kid is ruined for life and posted one of the worst statistical seasons ever.

Kizer
Savage
Petty

B00bie's QB room is killing it :chuckle:

I’m going to say it. I feel really bad for Kizer. Yes, he sucks and is prone to making awful decisions. But he shouldn’t have looked quite that bad.

His coach really let him down this season. Jackson may have already wrecked this kid’s entire career.

Hue and the front office didn't do him any favors. They really needed to build a running game to help him out. Hue didn't force him to make short throw till halfway thru the season. His biggest flaw is touch in his short throws, those could have been worked on all season in design plays.

At least they didn't give him PTSD or possible brain damage like Kessler from not giving him a real Oline.

I still think Kizer can be a good backup QB. I think he will fight to be the starter in the offseason and work to get better.

As a senior in high school Kizer fumbled on the one yard line in the Regional Finals vs Clyde in the final minute going for a game winning touchdown.

Kid has been a choke artist his entire life, would be glad to never see him start a game for the Browns again.

Just before the regular season started... Hue said Kizer provides the Browns hope for the future... looks like another "trust me" moment now, like his 1st season with Kessler... The kid has the physical tools and seems to be a nice guy, but should have been in the bench learning for atleast 2 years... might be permanently broken now given a historically bad season

Update: I no longer have full faith in Hue Jackson to get the most out of his talent.

Pretty sure the only people that still do have the last names Haslam and Jackson, unfortunately.

Love him or hate him, this Kid is a fighter and is willing to do what ever it takes to succeed. Get him a stud RB and design a system that actually helps him and i think he could improve and have success. He'll likely never complete 68-70% of his passes but 60-65% is doable. Wentz was an MVP candidate and he only completes 60% of his passes. Obviously he has to improve other areas as well but his completion % should be the easiest. Kizer on average completes 16 out of 30 passes while Wentz completes 18 out of 30. Not much difference so one would assume getting more reps with your WRs and adding a stud RB you can dump it to would improve. Kizer needs to get through his reads quicker and work on touch with his short passes.
