So do you believe this, or is this a "keeping all possibilities open" kinda thing?

I think some people would love for that outcome, a race war. I just can't believe we're at the level of required corruption for that to go down, and I'm pretty cynical.

I would love answers, if it's been touched on already I'm sorry, on why the Officers stood as idle as they did w/ much of this going on.

It's been explained a few times, though people seem to keep asking the question with the insinuation of big government possibly wanting it to continue.

Never actually listening to the answer given

Because it serves the interests of political leaders who pander to the left. It's why Rahm Emanuel didn't do anything with the Chicago riots, and only four people were arrested. They don't want to be accused of protecting people their supporters don't like, and they want to send a message that if you come to their city with views they don't like, you'll get the crap beaten out of you.

If not for that lunatic who drove that car, the weekend would have been a tremendous success for the left.

Jesus Christ.

NeoNazis burned UVA students with torches and beat counter-protestors on Friday night, chanting "Jews will not replace us" and "Blood and Soil."

Smashing fucking success.

For someone who whines perpetually about the left not liking the outcome, you sure are quick to defend white supremacists for violently protesting a statue of Robert E. Lee that the city council voted on to come down.

Democrats plan events to boost support after Charlottesville

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Democratic National Committee plans more than 160 events across the United States this weekend, aiming to seize on the outrage following last weekend's white supremacist rally in Virginia.

DNC officials have declared a "Weekend of Action" with a theme of "Rise and Organize...."

As I said, the whole weekend of violence was just a smashing success for the left. They wanted violence, they got it, and now they're using it for political advancement. That's why those governments let this stuff happen -- because they think the political fallout benefits their side.

Never let a crisis go to waste.

It does benefit their side, and they SHOULD be rallying support against those who have been tolerant of hate.

I'm not sure why this is a problem.

I feel like you keep ignoring what happened Friday night

When will the thread title be changed?

It is either incomplete, or the the BLM reference should be deleted.

Surely, even the BLM opponents here can see that now.
Lives may or may not matter depending on who you ask the thread.

I'd say that's the case for most of us, but I can't really imagine how hard it was growing up gay when I was a kid. It's relatively accepted now, but man when I was in school it must have been awful.
You're in your early to mid 30's yes? Same here, we had openly gay kids at our high school and it wasn't a big deal. This is California though which could be the difference.

Can you imagine the damage that could be done by a political party that seizes control by exploiting people's anger?

I think you guys aren't seeing the forest for the trees and @The Human Q-Tip is. Which is strange, because the forest benefits you guys.

And from your perspective, one would think you'd advance the argument that the end result here (lots of rallies supporting Charlottesville) would benefit all of us. But here you are attacking Q-Tip.
