What was Ellisons response to Duke?

Tweeted that he liked him, said at the end that "at least he knew."

Speculation that he liked him because of perceived anti-semitism. I don't know. No actual news source would pick it up.

You had your shot, all you could muster was that Miller is Jewish, as if that actually mean that he can't or isn't racist. It doesn't. And that Duke endorsed another , let say, "problematic" figure...

Nothing czvo laid out can be refuted, only excused or ignored. If you really think you have the chops, I would love to see it.

And it was , at the very least, the most racist campaign in a modern presidential election.

czvo pretty much laid it out, you need someone else to do your googles for you for proof too?
Basically everything he listed that "proves Trump is a white supremacist" has already been discussed ad naeusuem on here. The discussions obviously did not affect his opinion, so there's really no point in rehashing all of them. It would be a waste of my time and clutter the thread for everyone else.

White supremacists hate Jews, if you haven't noticed. I don't think Stephen Miller (a Jew) is going to want to associate with them.

Stephen Miller being Jewish doesn't preclude him from being a pretty open racist.

I mean, if we're going to defend Trump from not being a racist on the back of Stephen Miller being Jewish, I think it exemplifies just how bad the argument for Trump is.

The factions of his base ranging from white supremacist to Stephen Miller are all embedded with racist policy.

Gerrymandering, civil rights, appointments, etc.

Its not his burden to prove he's not racist its yours to prove he is

A judge of Mexican descent can't rule on cases he's involved in without being biased.

We've rehashed this again and again.

The people who don't believe he's racist refuse to see or admit that the things he's said and done are racist, despite often meeting the textbook definition of racism.

It's a viscous circle.

The media spent every day for months talking about how much Donald Trump hates Mexicans. It's not unreasonable for him to wonder if a judge of Mexican descent will be affected in even the slightest bit by that.

You're exaggerating the medias coverage and using it to excuse Donald Trump's obviously racist position.

It's not reasonable, it's not the media's fault that Donald Trump believes a Hispanic man from Indiana can't do his job because Trump wants to build a wall and had other ignorant, bigoted remarks about Hispanics.

It's beneath you as a human being, so please stop.

The judge was also involved with La Raza an organization that "advocates in favor of progressive public policy changes including immigration reform, a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, and reduced deportations."

The two were on polar opposite political spectrums. Do you believe that it's possible for a judge to be biased against a defendent and allow, either consciously or subconsciously, that bias to affect his decisions during a case?

Trump, the nation's #1 watchdog against biased judges, right? Oh, the irony :chuckle:

Good google searching.

What is the nature of his relationship to the organization?

What has Judge Curiel EVER done that would lead us to question his impartiality?

You're still trying to justify an obviously racist position, mind you.

Also part of LA raza. It's an absolutely ridiculous discussion.

Trump isn't the most articulate person in the world so sometimes his overall point gets lost. In this case they boiled it down to "Trump said the judge can't do his job because he's Mexican" and ran with it.

Just a minute ago you were taking the stance that circumstantial evidence isn't sufficient grounds to suspect Trump of racism. How is that consistent with your take here?

its a fact he was part of that group and made contributions. What are you talking about?
