53rd all time spanning 114 seasons is pretty impressive to me. Has 10 games to further climb that list.

if he can get to 60, he becomes the first person since 1936 to do so. Todd helton got to 59 in 2000, Carlos delgato got to 57 in the same year. So those are the highest in "modern" baseball

Imagine getting 57 doubles in one year the most in decades and decades just to have some asshole from Colorado have 2 more than you and you don't even lead the league

He came up when I talked about borderline Hall of Fame guys in another thread. That guy really could hit though! He was just a bit short on his credientals for the Hall sadly. Needed 27 HRs to get to 500 (aka a benchmark number for the Hall.

Still what Ramirez is doing is very good and hopefully he can get to 60 (aka I wanna see him get MVP, but Altuve will be hard to beat)

Helton was a monster though. He had 50+ two years in a row and almost had 8 years over 40. The one year in there he had 39. Not a bad guy to have beat you out.

So fuck you.
