I feel like letting the tank flourish would have been starting Kizer. As much as I want Kizer to succeed and still think he can, Hogan operates the offense better and the rest of the roster really doesn't want to mail-it-in. I still hope to see Kizer starting this season at some point, but a couple of weeks of watching and preparing may help the kid.
I think Hogan 100% hurts our tank chances which upsets me greatly. All I look forward to during the week is looking at the tank standings on sunday night/monday night.

Don't take this from me goddamn.
Oh, ye of little faith. We are tank gods. Nothing shall stop us.

It sucks knowing the Browns will just fuck up the picks we earn from this tank anyways :(

Fuck it, bring in Kapernick and let's go 10-6 kneeling our way to the playoffs.

Unless the Giants trade Eli, I think we got this...

Giants schedule is pretty brutal, but they'll definitely win a few games IMO.

They suck, but we are in a different league of sucking.

Eli to the Packers makes too much sense.
I think Jaguars make more sense because of Coughlin. They have a pretty well rounded team in Jacksonville outside of Bortles.

Also the Broncos and Vikings are always looking for a quarterback.

Yeah. IMO I think our biggest tanking competition will be San Francisco once again, not New York.

You're right. That's one.

LOL. This idea that this front office can't draft is ridiculous and, more importantly, it's demonstrably false.

Who did they draft in the first four rounds last year that looks like they can't play in the NFL? People shit on the Coleman pick, but if he busts it's going to be due to injuries, not talent. When he's been on the field, he's looked good, and that's despite our less than ideal QB situation.

And this year, we got Garrett and Njoku in the first. For all the talk about how they always trade down and pass on elite talent, they traded up and got Njoku, who certainly looks like he has elite potential.

The problems with this team are an overall lack of talent and bad coaching. The lack of talent is largely due to the fact that, when our current front office took over, the cupboard was bare. The previous regimes blew draft pick after draft pick on guys who are either out of the NFL or bad. Meanwhile, this regime comes in and drafts a bunch of guys who look like actual NFL players. The issue is that they don't have a single guy they drafted that's past their second year in the league. These guys are all still incredibly young and inexperienced, and our coaching has been, I think we can all agree, less than ideal.

It seems like a lot of people are butthurt that we passed on a couple of QBs who look good in much better situations and are ignoring that the guys we actually did draft look pretty good, which is a hell of an improvement over the past several regimes.

I agree with a lot of this. The current front office hasn't swung and miss nearly as bad as the ones before it.

The TRich/Weeden and Gilbert/Manziel drafts are absolutely embarrassing. Greg Little in the second round is embarrassing. Erving in the first round is embarrassing. THOSE DRAFTS, and the damage they've done to this organization's talent level, are the reason this roster is so bare.

This current FO has definitely passed up touted guys in order to trade down, but I don't see proof of them trading down and then taking shitty players. Peppers is the closest thing, and he's 6 games into his NFL career.

I wouldn't touch this FO, but the coaching staff appears to be pretty fucking awful.

Yeah, it's way too early to say anything about Peppers, especially when most people here appear to agree that he's being utilized poorly.

Hue seems like a big part of the problem. For a guy who was supposed to be an offensive guru, he doesn't seem capable of adapting his schemes to fit the personnel. I think we need to bring in someone young, smart, and able to adapt to take control of the coaching. Hue seems set in his ways and his ways just don't work. Further, he's started throwing everyone else under the bus, which is never what you want from the guy who is supposed to be your leader.

Watson is the first rookie in NFL history to have 3 TDs each in his first 3 games, he'll never be the greatest or anything, but he surely is fucking competent and makes plays obviously.

Good thing the kid's career is in Houston anyways.

They dumped all of this money into the offensive line and we don't even run the fucking ball. It makes zero sense that Crowell isn't getting as many touches as last year and Duke is getting even less opportunities. He's just so reactionary when his team is down in a football game. He wants his team to pass the ball to compensate but it leads to more turnovers and points to opposing teams. Then rinse and repeat.

I want to keep Hue, but he has to let someone else call plays if he wants to stay.
