I don't think that's really it. If it was fear of being called sluts or opportunists, they'd never say anything even after someone else blew the lid off.
I think the real fear is that they'd lose work, and don't want to offend someone powerful. But ordinary women with ordinary jobs have the guts to file harassment complaints all the time. No reason to hold Hollywood to a lower standard.
The worst are the ones who got harassed, complained, and then took a payoff to stay quiet.
Well yeah, they can have their lives and reputations ruined for standing up for themselves a victims.
