I honestly think Kyrie is the exact same player he was before except that he's actually playing hard on defense for once and he is surrounded by great defenders at every position who help cover when he lazily dies on screens (which he still does). Aside from that, he's the same Kyrie - incredible shotmaking, sometimes questionable shot selection, best handles probably ever, ridiculous under-the-rim finisher, an average at best passer, and one of the best clutch scorers in the league.

Still really fucking irritated we traded him to Boston. Maybe we had to trade him eventually, but we didn't have to be panicked into trading him to Boston.

We didn’t panic....and Boston made the most sense by far. Unfortunate but the truth.

Kyrie was willing to go to 5 teams.

Spurs. Knicks. Wolves. Heat. Celtics.

Spurs-Best offer of Murray, Aldridge, pick. Terrible.

Heat-Dragic, Bam, Winslow....yikes.

Knicks- protected 1st. Ntilikina. Lee. Eww.
(They could have had him for KP but they were never trading KP,Cavs tried...hard..believe me)

Wolves-Teague,Wiggins(excuse me whilst i hurl...and Cavs would have had to wait to Dec 15 to get this deal...was never happening)

Kyrie back-channel threatened to leave in 2 years to the Suns, Nuggets, Bucks and others.

Nuggets wouldn’t include Murray(would have been a disaster because he doesn’t even look that good)

Suns wouldn’t do Jackson/Bledsoe(Jackson doesn’t look like something I’d want over the Bkn pick either). We got a better deal than that from Boston anyways.

Bucks offered Middleton and Brogdon..:but then you’re giving Giannis Kyrie to run with which is just as bad...and they wouldn’t include Jabari or Maker or a Pick because Kyrie told them he’d leave.

Cavs made the obvious deal. It was the best deal. And they had to make it.

The Warriors are crushing the Celtics right now.

I find it awkward that I'm rooting for Golden state warriors to beat the Celtics, I want them to beat them by 30 points.

I love watching Kyrie... And I don't care what people think. That Celtics team is fun as hell.

Al Horford is like 5th or 6th in the entire NBA in RPM.

That's honestly the craziest thing about this season so far. Horford's impact.

It's beyond strange to me that a guy who has gotten his lunch money stolen on both ends by Tristan Thompson in the playoffs three years in a row is having the statistical impact of a top 5 NBA player.

Literally was convinced before this year that he was remarkably overpaid for what he brings to the table. Has been worth every penny this year. It's going to be even weirder if Tristan embarrasses him again, for the fourth year in a row, if we play then in the playoffs.

11 of the Celtics' last 15 pts tonight.

And assisted on 2 of the other 4...
He's averaging 20/6/3 on 44% shooting this year as the #1 option and some are acting like he's tearing it up. He's doing worse than he did last year as the second option. LeBron is shooting better from 3 than him.

He must be soooo depressed about that.
He probably won't be happy when he gets beat down by the Cavs in the playoffs, assuming Boston makes it that far. He hasn't played well this season. He hasn't taken the next step to superstar status. He's the same player we saw in Cleveland only now he's giving a little more effort on defense and shooting worse from the field.
