OSU really blew a chance at basically being 100% in....
They have been so sloppy tonight.......everything went their way today, except execution on the field. It's like worst case scenario where they win ugly and let Bama sneak in back door.
Booger is an SEC nutrider and Rece tries to hide it...but he's a Bama grad. ESPN is shamelessly pushing their narrative here. They are arguing on ESPN that Fresno State losing doesn't mean anything. That's bullshit. That's part of Bama's resume.
Guys, ESPN has a MASSIVE SEC contract, including ownership of the SEC Network.
While the SEC also has a nice deal with CBS, ESPN and the SEC are continually finding ways to bring more SEC content to their network.
The opposite is true of the Big 10 who is continually trying to move content to Fox, including OSU/Michigan this year.
Ultimately, with ESPN having playoff rights, I can see a back channel push for the SEC. it just makes business sense for them. If it was OSU against an SEC fan base that didn't carry the eyeballs of OSU, it'd prob be bad business. But Bama will bring similar ratings.....and it protects ESPN's investment....
Wait, he said this AFTER the 2011 season?Saban a year ago:
Not sure when he said it.Wait, he said this AFTER the 2011 season?
Honestly, UCF should be 4th.ESPN so desperately wants 'Bama in.
Honestly I'd far, far more respect someone going to bat for UCF than I'm seeing people nuthug for 'Bama.
Ehh not exactly. If Miami beat Pitt, then lost to Clemson by 12 (like Bama lost to Auburn by 12), Miami would have a notably stronger argument than Bama. Although, Notre Dame did lose again...big time, against Stanford. Which is something I had mentioned during our debate...how Notre Dame finishes the year had a big impact on Miami's resume. But, Miami's loss would have been in the conference title game to the #1 team. Bama lost to a team by 12 who in turn went and lost by 21 for their 3rd overall loss.

Haha. Maybe. But for the sake of my sanity, I'll stick to tangible things.Let's be honest here.
It being Bama renders all of that pointless...it's Bama, their name alone is as good as Miami's resume.
