2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anthony, Westbrook and George combined for fucking 10-45 from the field.

And you're going to tell me they won?

Don't think things may have changed with LA being the only team with which he'd sign at this point? They're awful and Lonzo doesn't look particularly good yet. AND he has to be on the squad that'll constantly be dealing with the PR nightmare and jackoff that is his dad?

i don't see how that isn't going to start annoying players at some point and he's just going to jump right in long term?

If he's cool with that because all he cares about is being in LA for the sake of being in LA CUZ MARKET then I'm incredulous he's truly that dedicated to getting a title.

Its not CUZ MARKET, its his home.

Yes, 100% this.

Surprisingly, today Harden only got 2 FTA against Charlotte. thats 7 less than he averages every night.

So I'm not surprised that he ended up with 21 points. This goes a long way, at least to me, that it proves that Harden is a manufactured superstar by the league.

I think calling Harden's superstardom "manufactored" is ridiculous at this point. The guy gets calls because he's better at setting up his defenders than any other player in the league. What he's doing isn't easy, y'all. If it was don't you think the rest of the league would be trying to copy him by now?

Look, Harden has viciously quick first step and probably the 2nd or 3rd best handle in the league, and he uses it to bring his defender out of position, and then he has downright uncanny timing at catching his opponents as they reach in. Is it a loophole in the rules? to a certain extent, yes. But let's not act like Harden is the first guy to do this, people have swiped through defenders hands for ages, Harden is just the best guy to do it, possibly ever.

It may not be pretty or entertaining to watch, but it's effective and gets 'em wins.

Last Night in OKC’s 100-95 win over Pacers

Paul George shot 3-14 from the field – 12 points
Carmelo Anthony shot 4-14 from the field – 12 points
Russell Westbrook shot 3-17 from the field – 10 points

Only 1 player in the OKC team last night had a minus +/- for the night. That was Paul George.

Good job Steven Adams turned up and they can play very good defense.

Cousins
Embiid
Jokic

I’d double check that “easily”
Add Gasol, Whiteside, KAT, Love, Jordan & Gobert.....then Adams.

The guy hustles, rebounds, plays good defense....but he's not exactly changing the game. He's a stronger & healthier Anderson Varejao.

Fun fact, Steven's middle name is Funaki.

I'd take Adams over Whiteside and KATs defense is making me question his overall ranking....

But yea Embiid, Cousins and Jokic id say sre the top 3 in no particular order.

Would you take Gobert over him?

I'd take Gobert, Gasol, and Capela for sure. I'd still probably take KAT too. Great offense is more valuable than great defense. Then I'd probably take Adams ahead of Drummond and Whiteside.

I think I'm mostly where you are at, probably wouldn't take him ahead of Capela and I'm not sure about Drummond but I haven't watched a lot of Detroit this year. Adams is awesome in how much utility he has on defense and he can plug a lot of different holes you may have in your team, but he doesn't have quite that "dominant defensive impact" I feel like you get with guys like Gobert and to a maybe lesser degree Gasol.

Anyone who thinks PG and Adams are top-3 players at their positions must be doing some serious mental gymnastics to understand how the Thunder have a losing record :chuckle:

The Thunder are only 2.5 GB of home court. No way they miss the playoffs and I highly doubt they are selling George at the deadline. I think they would be more likely to drop Melo because PG13 has a ton of long term value.
