Poyer was playing well in 2016 but then he suffered that cheap hit against the Titans, ending his season. The strong safety position next to him was a nightmare, and then when Poyer was gone it created a hole that was never filled.
I don't blame the front office for letting Poyer walk, but I absolutely don't know what they were thinking never addressing FS in free agency or the draft after letting him walk.
