Lonzo Ball

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I mean they got the BBB all over the arena. The half court logo. The refs jerseys. They even changed the leagues schedule to create the BBB Classic. Game was streamed by 100k people at 1 ET on a Tuesday.

At least he recognizes that he's not going to make his money off the NBA because his other two kids aren't NBA players.

But I'm not sure where we stand on BBB anymore. If only one of the Ball kids succeeds in the NBA, but BBB makes money overseas.... is it a failure or success?

BBB is already a success. Also Melo is already rated as a top 100 player in his class. He's only 16 and nowhere near close to filling out. He'll probably end up as big as Lonzo but he's already being exposed to bigger and more experienced competition than American High School players by playing overseas.

But the question is how are the Ball's defining success? Is their goal to become the most well-known non-major brand in Lithuania?

And maybe Melo gets better, but I cringe watching his farce of a game.

Fill out ? heas s_uper narrow frame. He isn't just skinny, his body is awkward.

Why do you like the Ballers so much?

17 year old Rokas Jokubaitis outscored the Ball brothers combined. According to this site, he's the 25th-best Euro prospect in his class. That should tell you all you need to know about how far they are from the NBA radar...

I think one of the issues is people are always trying to put a cap on their success. I think the key thing t remember is they are self made. They are really going out on a limb on a lot of what they and I'm not saying any success is good success but I think it would be wrong to think that they're necessarily failing.

Look at it this way. Today was their first game in Lithuania. It was seen by 100K people in what many mocked as a high school gym. BBB branding was everywhere. One of their opponents plays in an arena that seats 60K people. They usually have sellout crowds. I ca tell you right now that game will do numbers and BBB branding will be everywhere again.

Also keep in mind that Melo was playing against comp a level above him. He's still only 16. Gelo is 19 and he doesn't have a lot to be excited about but he was the 2nd best player on the court in their first game. I think instead of people focusing in on what they don't like about the family they should either not watch or just sit back and see what happens.

Or maybe I just don't hate them as hard as most people.

Hey, I've got no problem with them succeeding. In fact, I would love to see Lavar Ball follow through with that HS league and take down the NCAA. It's unlikely, but it would be amazing.

And as far as Melo is concerned, I'm not talking about his play today. From the little I saw, he's still playing that free for all game that he played in AAU and Chino Hills, and that shit doesn't fly in the NBA. What makes Lonzo so much better is he actually seems to know how to play the game of basketball. I haven't seen that from Melo.

Well he is still only 16. I'll also add that I think his game will change as he faces tougher competition. Sort of like trial by fire. He'll get knocked on his ass a few times and he'll probably booed some too. All things that he'll need to experience and I think when he does his game will start to evolve more. When he brings his current game in front of 50k with thousands watching at home he'll be in for a rude awakening but it's all part of the process. This time 2 years from now he'll only be 18 and will have been experienced all these things for 2 years.

Let's be honest, probably not much to do or get excited about in the entire country of Lithuania.

Now that I got that hate out of my system....

I'm actually kinda impressed. Not even by the basketball part but the business side. I know a lot of people that would kill for that level of success

This the shit Kerr was talking what is Espn doing there go make fake stories about brady being scared of jimmy G

Its not about having nothing interesting to do in Lithuania, its not like third world country, but just average country in Europe that has everything that you have in USA. People are interested in them just because we love basketball in general. For a country that has 3 millions of people we always are ranked 3-7 in the world, ant the best team of Lithuania right now is fifth in Euroleague above teams like Real Madrid or Barcelona so its not like we don't have high level of basketball and balls are best basketball players we ever saw. About the game: they say that they gonna play against men in there but yesterday it was against junior U17 team of our best basketball team. it seems that they will play just in BBB tournament in which all the teams are junior or second teams of the main teams. Prienai team is the only "professional" team in there and the team is trying to showcase Ball brothers, so just the fact that they barely won again U17 team and balls did not even stand out shows the level of Ball brothers.
