I watched the parade footage.
1/3rd of the time I found it funny, 1/3rd of the time I found it cringeworthy, 1/3rd I found it quite sad.
The cringe came from Shane French who I think is just being an opportunistic jackass. He's a guy from Las Vegas who got his start in Milwaukee, his ties to Cleveland are dubious at best.
As an aside? As bizarre as this is to say there's some things I associate with a lot of negative aspects of my hometown. Ohio Steeler fans are numero uno (A Stark, Portage and Summit county staple since 2004!) but following that right up the rear would be WMMS (with the exception of Chad Zumock...who is no longer there) and WRQK.
The amusing part came from Mike Polk who's part of the parade seemed more out of a viral video of the whole thing.
The sad part was just seeing a lot of the fans of the franchise. It gets insanely...frustrating that these people are still showing up to actually "care" about this team which has given them about nothing in return.
I would love for the latter to be put in situations where they could be celebrating some sort of MVP candidate, Playoff Appearance, Division Title or yes, a Super Bowl appearance. I think that would infinitly be more fun.
