Goodbye Larry Nance Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lakers fans are ecstatic about that trade and Magic should be too.

I wouldn't say Lakers fans are ecstatic. I've browsed some of their boards and, for the most part, they liked Clarkson and Nance a lot. They were okay with the deal, sure, but I think ecstatic is a major stretch.

Don't want to overreact but as of now its Kareem, Larry Jr, Shaq, Wilt, Russell, Hakeem in that order.

Watch out when he comes back next season with a mid-range jumper.

Maybe he can get dad to have 'ole Brad drop by and teach him the sweeping hook while they are at it.
Nance has the IQ and handles . I could see him adding some extra muscle in the off season as well . Of course LeBrin will help him with that . He’s only 25 , maybe he can stretch his game out further . A flying hook shot would be amazing .

Love and Nance big combo is going to be amazing !! If Love was in the game today , he would have floored Adams a few times .

He has a good teacher at home for free.

If he also had some of Daugherty's post moves. Watch out. You can't teach that vertical but you sure as fuck can refine that raw talent and hustle into an All-Star level player.

Yeah I want to seem him develop a flying windmill haymaker behind the back slamaroo.

Nance Jr seems to be Koby Altman's/this team's answer to Draymond Green. Sets the tone physically, brings swag, motor, high IQ. Less playmaking but is already flashing as a roll man. It is early but he looks like a gem of a pickup in the modern NBA.

With his athleticism, instincts, and contagious activity (and with the other added athletes and motivated holdovers), the Cavs can become an elite defense.

Is it possible he sufficiently covers our need for rim protection? His vertical contests are very impressive. If he can hang with Adams, he will probably be the guy in a Game 7 matched with Draymond (or Capela).

What was the idea behind trading for Nance and JC before acquiring Hill and Hood? would it have pressured Magic? We made that deal 1 hour before the deadline, why the hurry?

I also believe Magic leaked that article through Ramona Shelburne saying "that he was going to skip the 2018 FA" to make it seem like they were not nearly as desperate as before for exactly that trade scenario. Lakers fans are ecstatic about that trade and Magic should be too. He had very very very limited options.

It was a two team deal instead of a three team deal. So it was a lot less complicated. They wanted to get the trade call in and then focus on the three way with utah and Sacramento. That deal was actually close to falling thru at one point and Altman really grinded thru a collection of small things to make the Kings happy.

I see Nance as less athletic but higher motor and decent skills. Reminds me a little of del curry..he was constantly trying to do something to help the cause. I see that in Nance. Never takes time off , just keeps pushing a all the buttons.

Not sure Nance would ever be described as "less athletic".. he has great speed for his size and major hops
