Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Slow up a second there, Buckaroo.

This is Todd Haley’s offense now. It might not be the offense he’s comfortable with.

Nobody knows exactly what influence the Hue/Zampese sect of the coaching room will have. They all coached in the AFC North, they all have similar packages. I wont slow down at all. The answers will reveal themselves as the season begins.

Although Hue's is probably a bit bigger.

I would like Sam Bradford or Teddy Bridgewater but I will take AJ McCarron if I had to for a bridge QB. I think Bradford and Bridgewater are both better and probably would cost less. AJ McCarron, because of the unknown, might cost more and I have a feeling he won't be nearly as good. Still, this QB selection ideally is our starter for 1-2 years tops while we groom Darnold or Rosen. I think McCarron could be a competent QB, I know Bridgewater and Bradford are.

I agree that we need a bridge QB, and I actually like the idea of AJ McCarron now that's he's unrestricted. We can get him cheaper than some of the other available options.

I was just pointing out that it's not going to be square peg into square hole sliding back into the offense he was so comfortable in a few years ago. Conceptually, a lot is the same. They may even keep a few of Hue's packages. AJ will be fine, like any vet quarterback--just wanted to note it.

If were paying $20+ for a non experienced QB, just go all in on Cousins who has proven he can play in the league and be consistent for over 3 seasons.

Browns fans talking themselves into A.J. McCarron will be a real treat.

Cmon guys. If there’s anyone experienced enough in mediocre QB play to diagnose it, it’s us.

You’ve got Rosen staring you in the face, and even if you weren’t on him one of the other guys is better.

Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield/Jackson > McCarron for $25m+

Ugh, thats a lot of money for a noodle arm backup that could not beat out Dalton. All bets are off with this franchise, I will throw a chair through my TV if we don't draft a QB because we got McCarron. Take Rosen/Darnold and the QB room will look better at least.
Better live stream it

Wait, what? It came out we might take McCaron instead of drafting a QB?

All speculation right now. But, if your signing a QB at $20 million a year, it’s not to be a mentor.

Then he isn't coming here. You guys have zero faith in Dorsey apparently. Ok, I understand why. The Browns FO hasn't exactly inspired faith the last 20 years. But the guy would have to be clinically brain dead to sign McCarron and forgo drafting a FQB at #1.
