The Jarvis Landry Thread: Bless 'Em

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No denying how steep that is but the cash is simply there and it’s opportunistic.
If it's highly front-loaded/signing bonus money, we'll never miss any of that money at all.

We just mashing disagree’s on every post now for the fuck of it? @AZ_

No, I thought your post was (per usual) shit.

Because it's rather worthless to put the poor drafts of any regime onto this one, much less a position specific critique by position.

lol Browns never draft good WRs lol

More interested in how front loaded this is.

I didn’t put shit on this regime.

Just stated that we’ve had literally zero success finding late round production at that position after drafting a lot of them the last 2 years.

Kind of a fact isn’t it? You seem to be developing some sort of vendetta against me and it’s getting old.

His overall point was right though. Pretending like you can get Jarvis Landry production out of a day 3 WR is asinine, and yes the about 10 picks we've fucking wasted on day 3 WRs the last couple years are a proper example of that, particularly when some of that regime is still here.

The chances of a day 3 WR being good are about the same as flipping a coin and having it land on heads 10 times in a row.

Saying the prospect of getting this kind of production from day 3 players should prevent us from spending money on proven NFL talent is also stupid.

It’s like people have this infatuation with hoarding cap just so we can fantasize about it every year. Or maybe it’s fantasizing about this mythical moneyball approach people were so enamored with. Dunno which but it’s nauseating.

RG beat me to it as usual.

But now what?

It doesn't mean you don't continue evaluating and drafting them.

It's not much different from people who say they shouldn't draft a RB from Penn State because of Curtis Enis.

Nobody said stop drafting them though.

They said they were excited that we spent money to sign a player at that position who is already a proven NFL talent Instead of just hoping a day three receiver turns out great.

Well, now we don't need to waste multiple picks on WRs in false hope of one becoming good in order to have an NFL caliber WR group.

But yes, you can and should still draft them.
