One thing that people are overlooking about Jevon Carter is that he's not just a future top 50 all-time NBA player, he's a great human being too. Bob Huggins has said Carter has a work ethic that is "nearly unequaled" among any player he has ever coached. Jevon's work ethic extends to the classroom, where he has qualified as an academic all-American and won the Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award! Almost unbelievably given Jevon's committment to continuous improvement on the court and in the classroom, he finds time to be active in the community as well. He is a role model for youth all around West Virginia, and sometimes stays for hours after games for photos and autographs. Unlike certain current Cavaliers I could name, we're never going to see TMZ footage on Jevon turning down a young person asking him for an autograph! He also works to improve the health of all West Virginians, visiting hospitals and participating in the Alzheimer's Honk for Awareness and the Relay for Life walks.

Not only do the Cavs desparately need Jevon's contributions on the court, the entire community of Northeast Ohio needs a young man of this kind of character and commitment. I really question how any group of people who call themselves REAL Cavs fans could possibly want the Cavaliers to draft anyone other than Jevon Carter.

This thread in the last 8 hours has gotten so out of hand lol

I couldn’t stop laughing some of this shit is wild

With all the talk about George and Kemba as possible targets with the #8 pick, what about Kyle Lowry?

Bear with me for a sec. If Toronto fails to get to the finals again this year, do they blow it up? With the Cavs owning them now, and Philly set to take over that position in future years, maybe it's time. I have no idea if their FO is content with fielding a competitive team that isn't likely win a championship. If they aren't, it's time to blow that thing up.

Lowry has a hefty salary to match, but his age could give him a reasonable trade value for an acquiring team.

So you're saying it's not a coincidence his initials are "JC?"

We should just delete the last 4 posts (including this one ) and lock until the lottery

Ha ha! That's funny. I don't think he's *literally* the Redeemer of all mankind and the living incarnation of our Lord and Savior, no :chuckle:. But his basketball skills are such that he can certainly be the savior of this franchise! I do think that given his overall game, skills, and playing style it would be fair to describe him as a really, really rich person's version of the "Basketball Jesus", Larry Bird. The parallels are striking.

@Nathan S Wendell Carter will leave Duke and Declare for the NBA Draft! such surprise.

Whoo! Never really thought there was a chance he'd stay another year, but it would've been really bad for us if he did.

You need to get active in the other thread again. It's so slow over there I went to realgm forums today to see what's going on, and first thing I saw was someone comparing Doncic to Jamal Murray. That alone killed more brain cells than all the alcohol I drank during the game yesterday.

The thread is dead... it's basically me,you and 3 Ball. I wonder what there is to discuss there..throw me some topics to think about.

Give me some tasks bro so we can get that shit going again.

It won't be dead for long.. Give it time...

I voted #1.

Gotta have hope...

But if/when such time passes where we don't end up in the Top 3; there will be a reckoning on this board... May God have mercy on this thread...

I voted 9th as some sort of attempt at a reverse jinx.

Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.

Hey...maybe Jevon Carter will fall to 9th haha
