2018 Cleveland Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Its not a tax write off, I really hate how often miss used and misunderstood that expression is.

Its an expense paid by the corporation. The expense is justifiable because it is used to entertain clients who give them business.

The expense is against taxable income, thus it reduces the amount of income taxes you pay, but its an expense not a write off. It means the company still pays about 80% of the tickets. And if its a publicly traded company, you do have to answer to the share holders for the expenses.
I knew it was technically an expense write off but just simplified it. I didn't know they still owe 80%. Why would companies still sign up for season tickets/suites? How does it benefit them?

Does that include the two preseason games? That is a dealbreaker.

It does. You also get priority for other events like concerts being held at the stadium. Like Beyonce and Jay-Z concert in the summer.

The concerts are not too important to me. I just want to make sure I get to watch Kasen Williams and Matt Hazel catch passes from Drew Stanton at no extra cost. Thank you!

Like i said, entertain clients, and get to go to the games as execs at the company expense.

$40k gets you 20 movie theater cushion seats right in front of the suite. It gives you full comms of food and drinks. VIP parking and early access to the stadium. You get office space that you can use on non game days for business and meetings. A bunch of other perks. It's really nice if you get to sit in there but you either need to be ballin outta control or put a nice lil team together to afford one.

not counting preseason. 40K for 8 games equals 5K a game. then 20 tickets equal $250 a ticket. seems high for Cleveland but if on east coast and west coast seems pretty cheap.

My thoughts are I sure hope the Browns stay at 4.

USC QBs surely don't excite me neither.

I look more at the league than the actual team. Every player is different. It would be easy to have said that Brady was the next Brian Greise since they both went to Michigain, but that is not how it works. Nor is every Purdue QB going to be the next Drew Brees.

I like Darnold, and if he keeps us from drafting josh Allen, then I love Darnold.

The rumor floating around is a three team deal involving the Browns, Giants and Bills. The Browns would end up with the No. 2 pick (Allen) and several Bills picks. The Giants would drop to 4 (Barkley) and get some extras. Buffalo would come up all the way to 1 for Darnold.

Wasn’t that rumor started by some random schmuck on Twitter?
