I picked Cleveland and hope he does stay and he should stay to see if we can build a better team next year.
My concern is that his teammates have shown him very little and even less recently. That may be the big factor in LBJ's mind.
And with Lue; is LeBron a fan of this guy or what? He can't be but I'm not clear on that. If he's not and we dump Lue as we should that may be a good first move. Fizdale hasn't been taken yet, would that be an incentive to stay?

I’m too much of a basketball fan to not wanna see Ben Simmons team with LeBron before he retires

lebron's best chance of winning is in philly. to say otherwise is simply delusional. this team has no assets or cap space going forward to improve.

I just don’t see LBJ being ready to change his game drastically to fit somewhere at this point in his career. You’d think it would be time—he’s been playing for 15 years. He’s just too effective as a ball dominant initiator to go to a team that has the next generational talent at that spot (Philly). I don’t see him staying in CLE at this point. The roster just isn’t enough. It’s just tough to see a good fit elsewhere. Utah? New Orleans? I just don’t see Philly, and unless Hollywood plays into it I don’t see LA.

31 votes for Philly... Nice to know how much faith Cleveland fans have in their teams. Just something else for other fan bases to make fun of. Celtics fans are already making fun of posts on here over on their forums.

I agree with you, and as a Cavs fan of course I want him to stay here. The problem is this forum is littered with fans of other teams and LeBron lovers. They don’t care about the team.

I’m a Cavs fan. If he leaves, thanks for the title. Hopefully he mans up, we knock this pick out of the park and add another important free agent. Even doing one of those things puts us back in business.

But this doesn't make sense. 6 championships in 11 finals is far more impressive than 6 championships in 6 finals. That means he would get to the finals 5 more times than Jordan, thus advancing farther in the playoffs each of those years than Jordan. The "finals record" stuff is just stupid anyway. Losing before the finals isn't better than losing in it.

To be fair the question isn’t asking where posters want LeBron to go. It’s asking where they would go if they were LeBron.

I actually think if he does leave, it may be to a surprise team we aren't thinking of.

I say he goes to Dallas. Cuban likes to chase the big fish and isn't patient for a true rebuild. He's even mentioned he's open to trading their 2018.

Barnes + 2018 probably nets them Kawahi (and then some). DSJ + Powell + Matthews for Kemba + Dwight?

Kemba
Kawhi
James
Dirk
Howard

Seems like one of the worst teammate fits of all time.

Surround them with spacers and game-plan for LeBron to play off-ball more would work. Let him pace himself in chill mode until winning time. Similar to what Boston is doing with Kyrie.

And being a Cavs fan is making you unrealistic about this upcoming offseason. We’d have to land a top 10 player in a trade/free angency AND strike gold with the draft pick (rookie playing out of this world right out the gates, or trade pick for a star) to have a punchers chance in finals...only doing one of those would NOT put us back in business for title contention.

We are so far off from a championship caliber team its delusional to think otherwise. Sure if everything goes well...we can construct something that has a punchers chance in the finals....

BUT...at Lebrons age...I doubt he wants to be On a team that only has a punchers chance, it would mean him carrying us again. I’d imagine him wanting to be in a situation that evens the playing field against the Warriors...I doubt there is anything he can do to accomplish that...but he will try.

Simple question - IF LeBron chooses to leave, where do YOU think he should go? Not where you think he'll end up, but if you're Bron, and you take your Cavs bias away, where do you go if you are him?
This thread literally makes no sense

You say if he chooses to leave then list Cleveland as an option?

This site has been way too RealLeBronFans lately. Why is it that almost every other player in the NBA is expected to be patient and work things out with their team but every single year LeBron gets a pass for

Also this is the middle of a fucking playoff run. And only 50% of people voted Cavs.

If he leaves I won't root for him. I will actually root for the Warriors. LeBron isn't the Cleveland Cavaliers and the way you guys fucking treat him like it'd be an honor if he stayed has gotten so over the top. Kobe had years where his team fucking blew I doubt the Lakers fans were hoping he could go to greener pastures. And they worked it out. Why is it that if LeBron doesn't have a title contention team around him every single year he has the green light to just go wherever from you guys? A leigh way afforded to nobody else of his caliber in history

It's such a fucking weird thought process. What if LeBron goes to Philly and Embiid suffers an injury the first year and they get bounced by Boston? Should LeBron leave again? Gotta optimize it every year?

This thread sums up why I've mostly been sticking to the Browns section lately. I'm honestly at a loss that so many people seem to value LeBron and his career more than the actual Cleveland Cavaliers
