Bro are you watching this game? Oh my fucking God I was reminded all over again why I hate watching them play. They foul SO MUCH on defense and never get called for it. This shit is unbearable. They're literally unbeatable and will sweep the playoffs if they're allowed to do this. Fuck the Pels. Bron needs to go to Philly just so that frontcourt can physically rape these pussyboys

Yeah. Every time I think about the Cavs potentially losing tomorrow, I remind myself that it literally doesn't matter because they're going to lose eventually. They just aren't winning a title this year, even if they had kept last year's team intact.

If LeBron and PG could figure out a way to get to Philly together, and they could roll out Simmons-PG-Bron-Saric-Embiid, then MAYBE they can beat GS. But I'm not even sure Bron going to Philly by himself tips the scales.

Maybe he should.... retire?

If not, it doesn't matter where he goes. GSW is going to win every title for the next five years.

Thompson is a FA in 2019, Draymond in 2020. Maybe they all stay together, but every run comes to an end.

Sure they do, but I would bet on those runs ending not because of players leaving in FA, but because of injuries or trades.

Dray and Klay have never, literally not once, indicated they have any desire to leave or take on a bigger role.

Such absolute bullshit about Jordan stopping all those players from getting a ring. First off he played in the east so to list all those names in the West when he only played one of them A year in the finals is a joke in itself. By that logic, I can say lebron won in an era where someone averaged a triple double for a whole season twice, when in reality, lebron only faced westy in the finals once.

People’s perception of Jordan is such bullshit and i don’t even know why. I still think Jordan is the goat and it’s nothing to do with his finals record because that means he went to the finals 6 times and was pathetic for 7.

Also, he came back in the middle of his retirement and played like shit. No one asked him to retire twice.

I think KD did what he did because of the Warriors moreso than LeBron.

Mid 2000’s Pistons run was ended by the Celtics. LeBron didn’t win a title in the mid 2000’s.. Pistons got back to the conference finals in 2008 after losing to the Cavs... Cavs couldn’t get back to the conference finals because of the Celtics... So no, he didn’t end the Pistons— Boston did...

And I certainly don’t put that 6th man, 2nd year James Harden or Butler, Rose, or even Paul George anywhere near the level of the guys Jordan prevented? Maybe if you wanted to compare George/Penny ? I could listen..

Now it’s hard to knock LeBron for his weak era— but I’m looking for ways to enhance his legacy because he doesn’t have the competition, nor does he have the rings argument... (That’s why taking a legendary franchise like the Knicks could boost him)

But c’mon preventing the Raptors ? The Hawks ?

Jordan broke the Pistons (back to back champs)

Ended Magic Johnson’s championship dreams..

Stopped the following:

Cavs (one of the best to never win a title of that era including the 1992 team with 57 wins)
Knicks— multiple times including the 60 win team of 1993 with Ewing)
1996 Magic (Defending east champs, 60 wins— Shaq/Penny)
1997 Heat (61 wins) (Zo/Hardaway)
1998 Pacers (58 wins with a legend of the era who never won - Miller)
1992 Blazers (57 wins team with Drexler)
1993 Suns (62 wins with Barkley/KJ)
1996 Sonics (64 wins Kemp/Payton)
1997 Jazz (64 wins with Malone/Stockton)
1998 Jazz (62 wins with Malone/Stockton)

The only guys ‘Championship-Jordan’ allowed get a piece of the pie was Hakeem and Clyde because he wanted to play minor league baseball... Otherwise he prevented all time greats chances at rings...

Curryx2 Durant, Kidd, Dirk, Duncanx2 all could be considered all time greats and all picked one off LeBron (unlike Jordan) and Curry/Duncan/Durant/Westbrook can all say they lost a ring to LeBron— still nowhere near the destruction and career altering legacies that Jordan destroyed...

The NBA was really diluted when Jordan finally started winning: this just can't be ignored. The addition of 4 expansion teams in the late 80 and early 90's really changed the game and the talent pool wouldn't come back till the Euro infusion hit in late 90's/early 00's.

I mean those Jazz teams would have been destroyed by either Cleveland and GS last year: Malone was an MVP caliber player and Stockton was still good but he was old (35) and after that they trotted Hornacek, Shannon Anderson, Bryan Russell, Greg Ostertag. Those just were not very good.

Suns had Barkley and KJ but then after they depended on guys like Majerle, Dumas, Oliver freakin Miller.

The Blazers were good but that team consistently underperformed and the Magic were talented but really young.
The only really talented that they beat was Karl's Sonics and there was a reason Karl always underperformed: idiot didn't put Payton onto Jordan till they were down.

Overall even though he beat HOF's the teams he played against really were overmatched by the talent on the Bulls sans Jordan particularly because Krause got lucky with Kukoc for this second threepeat

Watching that team I legit feel bad for KD fans. Like do they actually feel inspired watching him play the way we do? Are his Playoff runs and struggles truly inspirational? Do they tell you a tale of human will and triumph and the ability to push yourself to the absolute limit when you needed it?

When I look back at LeBron's legacy when it's all said and done you know what I'll remember most about him? He was the greatest elimination game player that ever lived. He had the hardest road with the most flawed supporting casts out of every top 10 all time great except Hakeem. And when his back was against the wall everyone that stepped between those lines with him knew they weren't facing some mere mortal. They were locked into a ring with a caged animal that very well might kill you, and at the very least take a giant chunk out of you in the process of you getting out of there.

What will you remember of KD when it's all said and done as a KD fan? To his stans maybe they'll think of him as a cold blooded assassin. But deep down inside they'll feel unfulfilled knowing that he's a snake and full of insecurities, someone who broke it off wirh his fiance because he didn't know who we was and never found a woman that could love all of him again. The greatest beta male to ever grace the hardwood. Ultimately they'll know he could've been so much more. If he wasn't so afraid of failing himself he could've pushed himself to his limits and seen how far he could go. But he took the easy way out.

And no one in any other fan base respects his legacy because of how tainted he's made this stretch of NBA playoffs for as long as they're together. Other fanbases hate LeBron, just as much or even more than we all hate KD. But goddammit do they respect LeBron and they'll remember him fondly when he's gone and be happy to have witnessed his career. No one respects KD and so much of the NBA and it's fans will be happy he's gone and wish he never had a career in the first place. No matter how many rings he has.

What LeBron achieved was way harder. He never had Pippen or Phil Jackson. Heck - he never even had Doug Collins. In the 17 years since Keith Dambrot went to Akron U., LeBron has had competent coaching for exactly 5.5 years.

Jordan is overrated. LeBron is the GOAT.

Exactly. KD’s legacy will be ruining competitive balance in the league for half a decade or more.

Cleveland shouldn't be an option on this poll. I mean, obviously we all think he should stay in Cleveland. The question specifically says "take your Cavs bias away", obviously everyone here would pick the Cavs otherwise.

There is certainly an unbiased argument for him picking the Cavs -- basically, his relationship to Northeast Ohio cannot be replicated anywhere else and this is the only place he can be where his overall legacy will not be diminished if he doesn't win another championship. But from a pure basketball perspective it is looking like staying here will be a very hard road. With the emergence of Philly, Boston, Houston it's becoming clear that the only way to compete at the top levels of the league will be having multiple great players. We have no clear path to doing that.

We already have another great player: Kevin Love. He's the best!

I think he should go to Philly but hope he stays here. I don't think it's that hard to take bias away, but maybe that's just me.

31 votes for Philly... Nice to know how much faith Cleveland fans have in their teams. Just something else for other fan bases to make fun of. Celtics fans are already making fun of posts on here over on their forums.

Everyone hopes he stays here. But got to be realistic .. if he wants best chance of winning in the last 4-6 years he has left. Philly is the obvious choice.

Just being realistic

I hope he shocks the world, averages 45/10/10 the rest of the way, wins us another title, and retires.

Agreed. I've said also if he cares only about winning, Philly is the choice. The question isn't that though. It is where should he play, not where is his best chance to win.
