The problem is that it's not going to cost wins because the young guys are better than two of last years starters, JR and TT.

Don't think TT can be counted as a "starter." He only started 22 games last year.

Anyhow, he played rotational minutes over Zizic. 20 minutes is a lot.

I think it made sense last year. Doesn't make as much sense this year. Not convinced Zizic taking his minutes will actually translate to wins though, so I don't think you need to fret there.

It made all the sense in the world to play Zizic last year. It's pretty funny that you think TT had any case playing over him.

Regardless, if Zizic plays with the correct lineup combinations he can and will contribute to wins.

Considering getting through Boston was going to be on the playoff checklist, and TT is crucial to shutting down Horford, he needed to stay engaged throughout the season/playoffs.

But I won't continue talking about it because it just doesn't matter anymore. This team is in a different place.

I hope we can see a lot of Love and Zizic on the floor at the same time. I still believe Love will excel with a true big man in the middle.
I think those two together could devastate teams in the post. Have three shooters on the perimeter while you move the two bigs inside and defenses will have severe problems. Add in someone who can shoot but also slash to the basket and you can have a dynamic offense as long as motion is maintained.

Primary concern will be developing Sexton's three point shot. Clarkson, for instance, is much better on catch and shoot threes than he is on pull ups. Just have to find where players have their best success and tailor things to that.

Would be a big issue defensively. Z looked noticeably quicker in summer league than last year, but I don’t think he is ready to cover up for Loves defensive shortcomings. I’d rather him roll with the 2nd unit when Love is out, giving us a post threat at all times.

So what's your solution then, start TT? No, no, NO. The Love/TT front court needed to end YEARS ago.

If you were going to say Nance, then I disagree based on his size and durability. He can play with Love on the court but Zizic would just be a better option as a starter.

I think we’ll be bottom 10 two years in a row even trying, so I’m not that concerned. It will be a pleasant surprise if we aren’t as long as we don’t miss playoffs yet win enough to screw ourselves. Love is a nice player, but we couldn’t be more unproven pretty much everywhere else. We have veteran role players like Korver and TT, but that does not a .500 team make. Zizic and and Cedi and a promising rookie with Love doesn’t win much imo

Play hard and let the chips fall where they may.

Given how the west sets up, this is virtually impossible, barring something weird happening.

The 9th and 10th teams in the west win 42+ games last year. The 11th won 35 and added LeBron.

Memphis should also be vastly improved if they can get a relatively healthy season from everyone.

If the Cavs miss the playoffs in the East, it's pretty unlikely they wouldn't be in the top 10.

I am OK to give Z 2.0 a shot, but he wont start, given where he is. He has shown good offensive capability, but I am not sold that he can bang inside like TT can when he is not in Kardassian mode. That said, I do like Love Nance as a starting option, even though I think you have to sub Nance a lot to keep him fresh. Nance attacks and forces the defense to move. I think that helps Love. (and everybody else)

Zizic should start over tristan Because this team needs to focus on ball movement, Which something tristan is not good at. We no longer have to deal with dead weight at the 5
