I am very good with Love, Sexton, Osman being the faces of this franchise

The one thing I am still thinking about from the Love signing is whether the Cavs see Love as a piece or as the guy they are building the team around? If they view Love as a piece then they can acquire the best players available without concern. If they are building around Love, then you need to compensate for Love's weaknesses, particularly on defense. And if I am the Cavs, I am making an offer to the Heat for Whiteside. Maybe Tristan and pieces since the Heat seem desperate to dump the contract. Maybe they take JR since his money basically comes off next year. A shot blocking center would do wonders for Love and the Cavs defense.

I do want that draft pick in 2019. Losing it would be a setback.

I agree.

If we had the pick, I wouldn’t have cared where it landed because the Cavs would still be able to add talent.

Hopefully the Cavs can get one or two from some desperate team looking for vet help come deadline time. Hill, JR, Korver and TT could be valuable.

Anyhow, he played rotational minutes over Zizic. 20 minutes is a lot.

That at least made sense last year, as we were a contending team and Tristan matches up a hell of a lot better against Golden State than Zizic. He also makes Horford his bitch annually.

Speaking of this, can anybody tell me what the purpose of playing Love at center all year was? I thought it was specifically for our matchup with the Warriors...yet Lue went with TT and moved Love back to the 4 :conf (11):

Just spit ballin here...

But maybe that's because coach LeBron wanted it that way?

Wasn't Thompson really bad in the Finals the previous year? That might of played into it. Then Thompson consumed Al Horford's soul again this year in what has become an annual tradition and maybe Lue thought he could be productive against the Warriors again like he was the year we won.

Horford whipped TT in game 7. Enough of these lame posts. TT was very inconsistent on defense in the playoffs because the calf injury permanently destroyed his athleticism.

The numbers and eye test both showed that TT neutralized Horford. That much is a fact.

Tristan is 100% a non factor. He has a bad contract For us. He is a insigficant 10/10 guy. Zero upside. Horrible contract we have to wait out. Park his Kardashian ass on the bench for a year then dump his expiring.

So what's your solution then, start TT? No, no, NO. The Love/TT front court needed to end YEARS ago.

If you were going to say Nance, then I disagree based on his size and durability. He can play with Love on the court but Zizic would just be a better option as a starter.

I think Nance is fine and actually fits much better with Love.

Tristan has never averaged 10/10 for a season, for what it's worth. Last year he didn't even manage 6/6 :chuckle:
