Series # 33: Indians @ Tiggerz Jewly 27, 28 und 29

Did Al just say Melky sends a seed to right?

Bauer and Perez essentially are very good battery mates, so its just like Wakefield and Mirabelli in some ways. We traded Bard to the Red soxs and then he couldn't catch Wakefield, so they traded Bard for Mirabelli back. We may be able to move perez, but he is so well respected by that clubhouse, that you would actually do more damage then good at the end of the day if you replace him. People I think sometimes forget for a pitcher, you need the right battery mate or it could spell trouble. Hence why even when Gomes and Perez struggle at times, they won't be replaced anytime soon as long as we have Kluber and Bauer.

You can’t compare the “battery” situation. Wakefield was a knuckleball pitcher, and a lot of catchers have trouble with knuckleballers. Not sure where you get the idea that Perez is very well respected in the dugout? Respected for what? He not a great catcher anymore. He is slow and his hitting is garbage. Bauer is a very good pitcher and he would be fine with another catcher. It not a good trade off at this point IMO.

If Yonder has an even better 2nd half, that'd be good.

Wow Kluber what happened man. 26 straight games of 3 runs or less and lately been getting hammered. Certainly no chance to win Cy Young this year amazing how Verlander has turned his career around in Houston.
In that 1st inning, he gave up 1 real hit and a flukey surprise drag bunt

Relax

Yonder with his third homer since the break. Matching or besting Santana in pretty much every major category, all while making less money.

Great pickup.

Fucking awesome pickup. I was never that big of a Santana fan. Even though he got on base a lot. I thought last year was a bit of a fluke year for him.

Much happier with Yonder.

Not going to sweat losing guys like that. Obviously we really want to try to keep Lindor and Ramirez. Not going to be easy given the money they'll demand when they hit the market.

Yeah Indians deserve every ounce of credit with the Yonder replacing Santana move. I've been satisfied all season.

We don't even have to worry about losing Ramirez for like...5 years. Lindor on the other hand.
