Oh, HankWow Kluber what happened man. 26 straight games of 3 runs or less and lately been getting hammered. Certainly no chance to win Cy Young this year amazing how Verlander has turned his career around in Houston.
Not really buying thisYonder with his third homer since the break. Matching or besting Santana in pretty much every major category, all while making less money.
Great pickup.
His overarching point was dead on thoughIn that 1st inning, he gave up 1 real hit and a flukey surprise drag bunt
Relax
It's pretty much a certainty we aren't keeping both. I'm more worried about being able to keep 1 which still is far from a certainty.Fucking awesome pickup. I was never that big of a Santana fan. Even though he got on base a lot. I thought last year was a bit of a fluke year for him.
Much happier with Yonder.
Not going to sweat losing guys like that. Obviously we really want to try to keep Lindor and Ramirez. Not going to be easy given the money they'll demand when they hit the market.
Not really buying this
Did you remember to filter out all statistics he accumulates against the AL Central before making the comparison?
His overarching point was dead on though
There's simply no way our 13 win pitcher with a top 10 ERA in the MLB could possibly win the Cy Young this year. No matter what run he puts on the rest of the season, unfortunately there is no chance
What's probably funniest about that statement is it was almost verbatim what was said last year when Chris Sale had it wrapped up in July.
Actually Kluber made a start last year on 7/29. At the end of that start he was 8-3 with an ERA of 2.9
On that same date Sale was 13-4 with a 2.37 ERA.
Then over his next 12 starts to finish the season he went 10-1 with a 1.42 ERA to win the award
You'd think people would get tired of being wrong on these absolute statements so often but most don't seem to mind
Moz is a good poster; you guys should just be friends nowWhat the hell happened to you in here?
Yeah what the hell godfather, Ramirez is here for an eternity.
Literally the best player on the best value of a contract
You can’t compare the “battery” situation. Wakefield was a knuckleball pitcher, and a lot of catchers have trouble with knuckleballers. Not sure where you get the idea that Perez is very well respected in the dugout? Respected for what? He not a great catcher anymore. He is slow and his hitting is garbage. Bauer is a very good pitcher and he would be fine with another catcher. It not a good trade off at this point IMO.
He's still going to be just 31, and likely still fucking great when he's an UFA. And at that point, I highly doubt he takes a discount at that point in his career.
It's pretty much a certainty we aren't keeping both. I'm more worried about being able to keep 1 which still is far from a certainty.
I'd rather keep Stinky P than Lindor and I think Stinky P is much more likely to stick around than Lindor. I think Lindor is going to extract every last dollar he can
Will Mejia get called up to replace Perez?
