2019 Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think the hardest part of figuring out where the Cavs will land is defense. I think they have the potential to be a good defensive team. It really depends on what Lue and Longabardi are up to. I doubt with a real center on the roster they will continue to tailor their defense to beat GS. They will play a more traditional defense that will be better for Zizic and Love.

I don't see how if Lue's offensive strategy is to run other teams off the floor. I just don't see Zizic fitting with that.

TT used to run the floor for the offensive rebound. Follow whoever went to the hoop for the follow. Zizic has shown that knack as well. After the initial action doesn't get a clean look they can also throw it down to him. He could be the offense in the halfcourt especially off the bench.

We will obviously have to see how it plays out, but i think there are lots of options, maybe too many for Lue. He always did better with fewer options.

I got my wine and gold glasses on but I like how this team is being reshaped.
Still got all star level player in love. Like the Sexton pick. Love his demeanor. Cedi and zizic already showed a lot last year. Judging by summer league cedi has taken a step up. TT sounds motivated. We will see. Nwaba is a gritty addition. Still have korver hill and JR to move for more assets. Have Preston to develope for a year. Will have most salary constraints gone by 2020 Certainly this team is not a contender but light years from 2010

Yeah I mean we convinced ourselves of a lot of BS in 2010, but this team is not bereft of talent like it was then. The team is not as old as that one, we have a couple of guys that can score without it being created for them. It won't always be pretty, but if Lue can coach at all, there will be something there.

Cavs have still a legit team with All Star Vets like Love. The young guys are promising too. It's a nice mixture of talented young guys and legit veterans. Not to forget theadvantage of playing in the pretty weak eastern conference too. Doesn't look too bad for me tbh.

That doesn't address how Miami, a team that was only 6 games behind us with LeBron, stays behind us.

Yes, Wade and others might not be on the roster, but that's not enough to offset.

ORL probably, but BKN is a stretch given how good coached they are (see last year as example). That's gotta be a factor in these rankings.

I don't think we should overlook the fact that Irving was the youngest out of the big three and he just didn't connect with Lue. There is still something to be seen as to how Lue handles a younger team, and if he can get them to play hard.

Kyrie has eventually tuned out every coach he's played for since he got to the league.

In the 2019 W/L predictions are people taking into account the 20-25 games that Love will probably miss due to his typical annual injury?

The schedule will be announced today. I suspect Lakers will play Warriors on Christmas Day.

Looking forward to who the Cavaliers play first game.

They've already announced the Christmas day stuff (well, it's leaked). Lakers/Dubs, Jazz/Blazers, 76ers/Celtics, Knicks/Bucks, Rockets/Thunder.

Supposedly only the national TV schedule for the first week of the regular season, Christmas and MLK Day will be released today

Someone may call me out on lyrics in that it's actually Lost Wages, but I have always heard it as Las Vegas..
