Cleveland Browns 2018 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
F this ahole...
I think you need to cut Dorsey some slack- I think they know perfectly well what Gordon has been doing but saw no reason to be more vocal. As for Hendricks, its a federal case, if he didn't disclose the severity to the Browns then hour else would they know? It's not like the prosecutors would share this info. At the same time, Brett is right: just too many situations they apparently weren't on top of. A 1-32-1 football team has things to work on: shocker.

This tweet goes against everything I've forced myself to believe about Dorsey and his goons. I want to have faith that this is a reformed organization. I know we've not given it anywhere near enough time but the evidence is slowly starting to suggest the contrary, just like it does every single other year we build up the same kind of hope.

I get that it's all about a culture change and taking steps back to leap forward, but haven't we been trying to do that for years already? Landry is the brightest spark on this roster and I feel like he's not even out there half the time.

I'm ignoring Garrett and Baker because they were natural acquisitions that would've been made by any franchise in our position. I just freaking hate the unbelievably bad luck this team has every single season.

I know it wasn't going to happen, but holy hell, Khalil Mack would have made the Browns D an historical terror for QBs.

Dude is single-handidly beating the Seahawks.
It REALLY bothers me watching him play with the Bears right now. Because I know damn well the Browns could have had him on this defense, a defense that is dominating the first two weeks of the season. With Mack and Garrett together.. Man..

I also find if absolutely hilarious that so many fans hyped up Todd Haley and the offense, and a lot of them talked bad about Gregg Williams and the defense.. When reality has set in, and the offense is bottom 5 right now while the defense continues to strive.

The offense has been so bad, the play calling has been laughable as well.

I don't blame Tyrod Taylor completely, but I can't help but realize the Browns would be 2-0 if Baker Mayfield were the starter right now. I'm not saying we need to start Mayfield, but at the same time the Browns are still a hot mess.. And a lot of us were led to believe otherwise.

It's only 2 weeks. We weren't expected to win either of the first two games, but it should bother us and piss us off that we aren't 2-0 right now, because I'm tired of losing and "almost" winning with these shitty moral victories.

Thursday is a must win. I expect them to win because they're the better football team. They're down a top option on offense, but hopefully Callaway continues to step up as we move forward.

Lord knows they aren't going to be bringing in any help whatsoever..

I really wonder what the plan is for Chubb. Hyde has been Crowell 2.0 thus far. Duke would be better served as a reciever/change of pace back. Hue/Haley have no idea how to fit Duke into the offense, but traditional carries up the gut just isn't going to work. The opportunity should be there for Chubb if things don't change.

Has Jamie Collins checked out?
When Hyde got around the corner and into the end zone against NOLA he did something Crowell has never done, Crowell never had the speed to get to the outside on a run. Hyde has performed better than Crowell hands down, IDK why so many people are down on him. Not to mention, Hyde doesn't get tackled by blades of grass the way Crowell did. I want to see Chubb get more carries but Hyde has run hard for us.

I didn’t like Crowell much either, but let’s not pump up Hyde for things he hasn’t actually done yet.

Blame the blocking and play calling if you want, but Hyde has been really terrible so far in the first two weeks.

The difference in burst between he and Chubb has looked very noticable to me.

Running hard on it’s own is not something to celebrate.

Kendrick’s is suspended by the league after last nights game.

1st and 2nd downs are runs up the middle every damn time. Jim Brown would be struggling when 9 guys are waiting for you every time you get the ball.

The Browns lousy culture won’t change until Hue, and by extension the rest of his staff, is out.

They’re the ones who create the toxic atmosphere in the first place for these players to underachieve and screw up.

Pretty much the only way to mask the stench of an awful coaching staff is with an all-pro QB.

Someone explain the Rod Streater signing to me. Outside of Tyrod throwing about 12 passes his way in training camp last year, I don't see why he was brought in over literally anyone else.

100% agree with you. He has created a losing culture and it's not changing anytime soon. The dude is 1-32-1 in his 34 games as our head coach. How bad does it have to get before people realize he's the problem? This fake ass QB guru has done nothing to improve a single QB on our roster in those 2 seasons. Also, if he's hitching his wagon to Tyrod bye bye Hue. Tyrod in his last 14 games has thrown 9 TDs, good luck winning with those numbers.

Probably as a mentor to the young guys or maybe it was that 1 catch he had in 2015 with the Raiders.

First round picks fail when you do not have the coaching talent to develop players.

Simple stuff.

From multiple people around the team, it wasn’t coaching with Cam. He was beyond lazy and just didn’t give a shit while he was here.
