I think the Wizards are close to blowing it all up. I like that second rounder as delayed gratification.

Korver was a professional through a dynasty blowing it up, still mentored our young guys. Best to him as he joins a great defense with strong offensive sets in Utah... they desperately needed a consistent shot maker besides Donovan Mitchell.

Lame. There’s no potential in this.

Definitely a boring trade compared to a Fultz trade. Burks' contract is a good expiring we currently don't have. Korver, JR, and Hill all had guaranteed money which could throw a wrench into teams flexibility.

My guess Burks won't be here after the trade deadline. This could be the first move of many this season, it could be a set up to a bigger trade in the near future.

This trade only sucks if we end up conveying the first rounder to ATL next year (no way we do this yr). If we don't, then we just get our return back plus a look at Burks (no expectations from me).

Burk's contract works better for Philly for the future though. It a regular expiring, the guaranteed money on Korvers contract could have caused issues for Philly depending on who they recruited in the summer.

I didn't know Burks was in the deal when I posted that. He doesn't really do it for them 3 point shooting-wise does he?

2 future 2nds aren’t helping us and we know what Burks is by now. Fultz would have been a great low risk pickup

My guess is Philly wanted Korver but wanted assets that they show their fan base so it didn't look so bad. Maybe after moving JR or another trade, we have the assets to get Fultz. 3 or 4 second round picks sounds like alot for Fultz as a selling point but in reality it could be not that much.

He is shooting 37% this year. 35.5% for his career but has had seasons of 38% and 40%.

Yeah I’m hoping there’s additional trades. Maybe repackage Burks for picks.

I assume Burks will be gone by the deadline. He is a good expiring.

Lets say we can get a decent package for JR to take Melo and Knight from Houston, that can't happen till December 15th. Maybe Chriss and Dekker are involved too. If Houston gives us their 1st and 2nd round picks, I say that's a win for us. Package the 2nd rounders from Korver, the Miami protected from Wade, and this year's Houston, that sounds like alot on paper for Fultz but really it isn't. That's just a bunch of #45-60 picks which the hit rate is so low that they might come out with one rotation player if they are lucky.
