But the handful of young players we are trying to develop would suffer and that is why Jr cant play anymore.

Of course. I just thought it was funny when J.R. was saying that the front office wasn't playing him because they wanted to tank.

I don't want to have to break it to Swish -- especially because I still have fond memories of his mini-run in Game Seven, and that earned him a lifetime mulligan from me -- but if he's playing pro ball next year, it will probably be in a country other than the U.S.

Yeah but why? Curious to find out what their ask was...

My guess is the teams interested didn't have the appropriate assets rights now. Teams aren't giving up a lotto pick for him and those are the type of teams that would be interested. Who knows what Sixers valued Fultz as.

So you think JR goes to Toronto? LMAO

Seems like Sixers pulled Fultz from the table and the Cavs pulled the trigger on the Utah trade.

As of 2020, Fultz's contract looks like it could be a bad contract if he can't put it together enough to look like a legitimate starting NBA point guard. His option will be for over $12 million if they take that option. His cap hit in 2021 would be $24.5 million with a QO at almost $16 million. So, the Cavs would have to be extremely confident Fultz is going to get back on track to invest more than a straight up trade for Korver. Time is ticking just like it was with Anthony Bennett on his #1 overall pick scale.

I thought Korver and a #31-40 second round pick was appropriate for him. Dressed it better for the sixers fan by including the Miami protected 2nd rounder.

After watching Markelle the past season and a half, I'm okay with how this all turned out. It's on Markelle Fultz to prove his worth going forward.

Will miss Kyle ultimate pro and doesn't deserve to be in this miss right now. Wish him the best of luck. Also to all the people talking about Fultz there are legit middle school girls up the street from my house that shoot better then him right now.

We already traded the Miami 2nd rounder in the Rodney Hood trade.

Are you sure? It's still listed in the salary and assets thread. I'm talking about the 2024 Miami 2nd rounder we got in the Wade trade. It's top 55 protected so it's fairly useless.

Good trade. 2nds are like gold, esp for competing teams that are up again at the cap. Build the warchest.
And they added an expiring contract.
No issues at all with this, and Kyle will get into the playoffs.
