No concerns with Dorsey influencing the coordinator hires?

I think the difference between "offering input and helping to recruit" versus "actually choosing staff for Kitchens" is a distinction some "journalists" won't bother to make.

I'd guess it's much more likely to be the former.

I'll tell you what - Todd Monken was not the problem in Tampa Bay last year. He is an aggressive play caller who loves pressuring the defense with the deep ball when it's open. Peyton Barber was rarely used in the passenger game because he was a vital part of pass protection, which really kept Ronald Jones glued to the bench more than anything else. Tampa had a shitty defense and a below average offensive line, but the playcalling was thrilling.

Monken made Fitzpatrick and early MVP candidate until the real Fitzpatrick came out, but he ran an excellent offense, would be a great hire.

Cut to the 4:30 mark: Baker and Kitchens on the sideline... You start to see that these guys aren't just player-coach, they've got a very real bond.

"Guy's an idiot." :chuckle: And I'm about 90% sure he insinuated Kitchens is our mascot.

I had to laugh...he's in the huddle and he says to the players, "Hey. I'll be honest. My fake on that was beautiful."

Then later, on the kneel downs to end the game, "This is really hurting my rushing yards."

There were a lot of little gems in that clip. Funny dude.

Right. This is why Twitter headlines kind of...really suck sometimes as much as the people who write them.

I know a lot of the media does not like the personality of Baker, but what they fail to see is he fits in with the culture and atmosphere of the Midwest. What excites me the most about Kitchens and Baker being together is I think they fit, plus it seems Kitchens is a guy who does not have a system per say, but builds one around his players.

Media tends to "like" the players that are most accessible to them. They want quotes. If Baker starts to get all "Gregg Popovich" or Billy Mumbles... they will not cut him any slack.

Me? Just win baby. I don't care if you are Richard Simmons or a complete mute. Just. Win. Lead the team and win.

The ricky bobby stuff was hilarious, but his phil Collins shit is what got me. Like Ratley fucking knows who Phil Collins is, he is 22 year black kid, lmao. Just trying to make the team and the number 1 pick and starting qb is using him as a drum set, lmao

I HOPE WE GET VANCE JOSEPH!

He's, IMO, the best candidate for our DC position. He runs an exotic defensive scheme the emphasizes pressure on the QB and forcing turnovers, with lots of disguises. Well known for having a brilliant defensive mind. I really liked his schemes and play-calling.

He was also HC for two years so he would be a nice presence in our coaching room. If not Vance, then maybe Kris Richard but Vance easily tops my list for DC.

FYI, Richard is likely the next HC of the Dolphins.
