I thought Vance Joseph is the owner of Vance refrigeration?

Surprised how much Pagano is getting shit on in here.

His defenses underperformed during his tenure but people seem to be glossing over the fact that was while he was HC. With a healthy Luck, he still got those shitty defenses to three consecutive 11-5 seasons and an AFC Championship game, during a season where none other than D'Qwell Jacks led them in tackling. He certainly wasn't helped by his defensive talent.

It seems like a Pagano hire would be more of a security-blanket hire for Kitchens to better acclimate to some of the duties that come with being a HC, because, IMO, it's pretty obvious he knows a thing or two about coaching players.

So Joseph may be choosing between working for/with Kliff Kingsbury and the moron who just hired him, or for/with Kitchen and Dorsey?

We got this bitch in the bag!
I agree. I would think we would be a prime spot to be DC, especially with an associate HC title, if he doesn't get that Cincinnati job.

And it appears Cincinnati has a few candidates they like more... I'd guess Bieniemy is going there.

The main reason I shit on the guy was that he wanted to dick around with his assets switching defensive schemes while giving Luck barely any help. Luck carried a bunch of bums because Pagano was focused on making his defensive scheme work. He almost ruined the best QB prospect in the past decade - Mayfield aside.

The ricky bobby stuff was hilarious, but his phil Collins shit is what got me. Like Ratley fucking knows who Phil Collins is, he is 22 year black kid, lmao. Just trying to make the team and the number 1 pick and starting qb is using him as a drum set, lmao

Thing is Baker probably isn't much older, if at all then Ratley.

But in that hotbed of Norman, Oklahoma the Phil Collins song probably only recently cleared FCC censors so it's probably been a big radio hit there in the last 5 years or so.

Just a guess.

Yes. but Baker grew up with white parents that probably loved them some Phil Collins, heck Baker could have been conceived to that song.

I see that point and perhaps he had too much control over personnel decisions which led to lapses elsewhere. I just feel like as far as names go, there’s a lot worse we can do. He always struck me as well liked, from a players standpoint, which holds more clout to me solely due to the shitshows we’ve trotted out in recent years.

With that said, I’d still rather have Vance as DC due to his performance alone.

I hear you. There is blame to go around. I think their ex GM Ryan Grigson was in way over his head. I felt like Pagano had one year as a DC, it was mostly built by somebody else, and then he took the Indy job and let Bruce Arians offensive playcalling hide some mediocre work. The Browns are a great defense to take over with a lot of young talent. I think we can do better.

What, are black people are only allowed to like rap music?

Like imagine if Myles Garrett liked jazz and dinosaurs and was an individual with his own interests? Nah, probably just likes rap and clubbing. I bet he went all fucking ham in New York on draft night instead of staying home like Baker and Joe Thomas too.

I know a lot of the media does not like the personality of Baker, but what they fail to see is he fits in with the culture and atmosphere of the Midwest. What excites me the most about Kitchens and Baker being together is I think they fit, plus it seems Kitchens is a guy who does not have a system per say, but builds one around his players.

He does in fact fit the fanbase. The chip on the shoulder factor is very Cleveland fan.

He also is the epitome of OU as well because there's a thing called "Sooner magic" and his attitude is actually the norm historically.

It was going to take a guy with his mindset and his leadership attributes to turn this damn thing around.

He grabbed the role of the franchise face and he ain't letting go of it.

As if 22 year old black kids can’t know Phil Collins...
