Kareem Hunt: One Pissed Off Runner!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am not a survivor of abuse, but I have worked with survivors throughout my life. I think Darryl's intent was probably to show that this signing has the potential to impact those who have gone through something similar that are also Browns fans.

I’m sure most survivors of abuse weren’t drunk and antagonizing someone by calling them the n word.

Also, I would say what happened to that girl is an insult to those who have truly been abused, sexually or physically.

Remains apples to oranges.

Tough to disagree here.

The constant reference to abuse and domestic violence is an insult to actual victims of such. The “victim” in this incident was part of the problem, not a bystander.

My biggest hangup with the signing is not giving him a second chance, it is honestly wondering if it is healthy for him to be playing in such close proximity to a lot of shitty people that have come in and out of his life.

Maybe he is truly ready to move on but it is going to be tough for him to shut that part of his personal life off and focus on himself and his career. I'm not saying it is impossible but it does make it more difficult.

This sentence absolutely jarred me to read.

Have a good day.

This is kind of where my critique of the pickup comes from. Not sure Cleveland is a healthy place for him to restart his career.

Lighten up, Francis.

I've removed that part of the post to prevent further "jarring".

Have a good one and enjoy living in your black and white fantasy world where every situation is the same.

Yup. Have a good one and enjoy living in your black and white fantasy world where every situation is the same.

You know, I have full respect for people's varying opinions on this - it's a complicated subject. However, taking this hard core all or nothing black or white stance, and then slapping 'funnies' on anyone with different takes and acting morally superior - well that's our Steve. It's the same tact he takes with anything LeBron related. Never ever shades of grey. PC culture gone amuck (and I'm liberal).

They’ve completely botched this, and now you have the highest football decision maker in the organization being unable to take a stance about the organizations policy on domestic violence.

Yes, I'm the one out of touch with reality.

What was botched? The presser?

Woof.

What an awful answer to a softball question. Trump-esque dodging.

Dorsey was NOT the highest football decision maker on THIS issue. It was made clear yesterday that Jimmy and Dee Haslem signed off on this.

If ownership has set the policy on this topic as Dorsey said then he'd be an idiot to weave into that lane. That policy would apply to every Browns employee, including him.
