Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You shut you're whore mouth Tito is my spirit animal

Doubt he meant Tito.

Pretty sure he meant that idiot Van Burkleo that has been masquerading as our hitting coach for the last six years. He needed to go three years ago.

Carl Willis has been surprisingly not awful, considering that Clevinger and Kluber have both missed extended time now. Bullpen has been better than expected, and Bieber is really looking like a stud.

They built with the Reds, not really their decision alone. And its not the furthest from Phoenix. Royals/Rangers is the hardest to get to in Surprise, Bell rd is a nightmare and there is no other way, atleast the Stadium in Goodyear is off the highway.

And its one of the newer stadiums, ofcourse its going to be out in one of the further suburbs. Colorado/Arizona got the new one in Scottsdale, cubs spent a fortune for theirs, not cheap dolans, cheap fans who wouldn't pay a fortune to go to the spring training games. And the one the White Sox/Dodgers built isn't much closer and honestly its a crappy stadium, just went, like the Indians one much better.

All the other stadiums are much older, the idea is to spread them around, its really not a cheap things, the new ones that are close make sense, cubs and Arizona.
Ever go to an extended spring training minor league game there? What are those stadiums like 11 months out of the year and what do the locals think? All of those ballparks in one city just sitting there empty seemed like a waste since at least Florida has a A+ league.

They get used some, high school and small college tourneys, some minor league shit, occasional concerts and some other events. The parking lot of the Arizona/colorado one is used all the time for festivals like the balloon festival or food truck festival. I used to live a mike from that one so I am more familiar.

That said I am sure they are wasted allot too, but no I don't go to extended spring training or anything like that. I know some on here think I am crazy because they are addicted to baseball, but just not time or interest.

The Indians aren't trading Lindor this summer. Maybe next summer (more likely next winter), but not now. Kipnis would just be a salary dump, but that wouldn't be until the end of July.

Martin, Otero, O. Perez, and Clippard could also be moved if they fall out of it.

The only major move could be trading Bauer. He could potentially bring in a haul from the Yankees or Padres that could help both now and the future.
The longer you wait the less you get back, delaying the rebuild and the slower you replenish the minor league system with high end prospects. As people said in the last series game thread; the team needs to be honest. They are not a World Series contender. Nor will they be next year. Trade away vets that have value and try to open up a new window three years from now. You are only delaying the obvious.

Mr. Orange getting absolutely destroyed in here.

Yeah ok. I swear the Indians Forum is the most sensitive by far. The Cavs and Browns fans have no issues joking about their owners. You need to lighten up.

It’s ok. Don’t have any fun. I’m sure the Indians will win next year anyways. Remember, the more you spend at the ballpark the better chance they have to win. Tell em Larry sent ya.
Totally.

So not to get ahead of myself, but in the event that the Indians are out of it and selling:

Oliver Perez, Clippard, Kipnis, and Martin should be dealt for anything of value. All are free agents and are not in the Indians' long term plans

I think you have to trade Bauer unless the return is super weak. Next year you still have a core of 4 quality starters in Kluber, Cookie, Clev, and Bieber and if all goes well, McKenzie should be in the rotation too. If not, you have options internally like Jefrey, Plesac, Plutko, or maybe even Morgan. Or you grab a 5th guy off the bargain bin. Maybe revisit with San Diego featuring Hunter Renfroe and 2 Top 10 prospects? Still not a huge fan of Renfroe, but his pop in the lineup would be much needed and he does have 3 years of arbitration going forward. Plus, you save $15m+ you would have to pay Bauer next year

I would lean towards not trading Hand, unless you are getting back an absolute haul. With the right reshuffling, the Indians can absolutely be back in the thick of things next year and having an elite backend guy in house is a huge plus. They could likely still get a great package next July, if it comes to that

You’re not funny.

Be funny.

Amuse us, clown.

You know what is amusing, is how much whining you do in S34 about ppl who should be banned bcz you don’t agree with them. I like your analysis but your holier than thou takes are an RCF running joke.

Lighten up. The level of butthutt over a Dolan joke is hilarious. It’s as if people can only take sarcasm if Jigo posts it.

We take sarcasm better when it’s funny.

Be funnier.

"Dude! It was just a joke!" is the worst defense for shit behavior. Find a new shtick.

If you're going to whine about Jigo after stealing the same material Jigo has been doing for like a decade, at least be funnier about it.

I didn't think it would cause such a personal offense for the shitposter, but alas...

It's certainly something that people in Cleveland can't be bothered to show up to the ballpark or seem to give a shit when the team is good but have all sorts of opinions when things go south for the first time in four years. I've heard more Indians talk on my drive home in the last two weeks than I have in the past few seasons.
