His film is impressive. Someone mentioned dollar store Klay... but gah damn this dude can shoot the fuckin ball like i haven’t seen from a prospect in awhile.

Wouldn’t it be funny if the Hawks got blown by the media all summer about building GS 2.0 and Garland/Windler end up being the much closer Curry/Klay comparison?
From the looks of it, we did get 2 of the best shooters in the draft.

I think Harris is hotter. I'm a sucker for rosy cheeks. But I'd like to judge for myself the measurables between the two.

Harris is thicker, wider. Has girth and a meat and potatoes style of play. But Windler has that length on him, that explosion and fluidity. It comes down to skill and technique.

I think Windler is going to be the better, more versatile ball-player. I think he has better ball-handling skills. I think he tops Harris' ceiling.

Bottom line, at the very least he'll be a great shooter in this league. By the time he's done he'll have loads of buckets. @The Oi @Hydroponic3385

As a gay man, do you value a great shooter? Do you value a guy who makes huge amounts of loads of buckets?

people need to realize that defense can be taught and players can get better, especially with the right coach in place. Last year the Cavs had bad team defense because of bad defensive philosophy and bad coaches. Knowing this, how can we expect Sexton, as a rookie or any rookie, to come in and improve when the coaches themselves were bad.

Yes, obviously.

Mechanics are everything when it comes to shooting. And young Dylan here seems to have great, fluid movement and a quick release. A great stroke.

Loads of buckets. From deep in the Q.

I am very excited on Windler. He has good smooth movement, release is quick, and his stroke is amazing. Not only he can shoot well but he utilizes screens nicely.

When I watched live against Maryland I thought it was amazing on how he was able to get his shot off so quickly and be able to find space whether it was with the ball or off the ball.

As I watch more film about him, the more excited I am for him.

Few comments I have that really haven’t seen brought up...

Windler is truly ambidextrous. He is a scratch golfer as a righty. He actually wanted a golf scholarship through his first two years in HS until he began competing in AAU and received about 20 basketball offers within a few weeks.

He does most activities as a right hander.....just felt more comfortable shooting lefty.

One thing I always like about mid-major guys, is in many respects the game can become easier when surrounded by better talent. Belmont is a respectable program, but there are guys you can scheme around and cheat on. Windler was a target every night and still put up big numbers. That isn’t to say he will be better in the NBA, or the NBA will be “easy” for him in any respect. Just that he’s gone from the best offensive player on his team, to likely the 3rd or 4th option whenever he’s on court, for at least the beginning of his career.

I still like the Ingles comparison. Joe spent a majority of his career playing professionally in Australia, and it took him a while to adjust to the speed and physicality of the NBA, but has since become a key cog on a very good Western Conference playoff team. Great shooter, underrated ball handler and playmaker, and a sneaky good defender.

I think Windler has a higher ceiling than Ingles, but if he becomes that type of player, you’d 100% take that at pick #26.

Why only white guys, maybe the next Reggie Miller. Semi athletic lengthy, skinny, shooter.
You're right.. Hate that...

Cause I see plenty of Tony Snell in this guy....Has a left handed Mengke Bateer free throw stroke too which is a pleasant surprise. Especially the knee bend..

If I had one comparison I'd probably say Eric Piatkowski.

Ummm, have you seen Harris lately? Not the guy you remember from his rookie year. Dude led the league in three point percentage, close to the top is effective field goal percentage, and plays solid D. The new Danny Green.
