Andy Varejao Returns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't understand why it's a sin to bring back a fan favorite to give him a proper farewell, in a season when we're going hard for ping pong balls anyway and half the team is out injured.

For freaking two weeks no less lol. Like come on.

Is Andy playing tonight? Have to get ready with my jersey.

He's available but won't play tonight. He will probably play next game.

Will still probably be our best option at PF

Count me as someone who thinks this reunion was actually necessary in order for the fanbase and Andy to not have any lingering bad feelings toward each other in his retirement.

It would have sucked to have the last memory of him in Cleveland be his antics against us in the 2016 Finals.

It’s somewhat petty, but it would have left a bad taste in people’s mouths when thinking about his legacy and have been a little awkward for Andy also if that’s where things ended.

Now, both sides can embrace each other and celebrate the end of his career the right way.

Wasted spot. I left AV in 2016 like everyone else. I would rather have someone that could possibly contribute.

Hopefully this is Koby last season as the Cavs GM. Added another short small guard and an old washed PF. While Delly, Hartenstein and Nance are out.

Welcome Back, AV!

This article makes it sound more like a PR stunt than to try to help the locker room. My guess is the Cavs are having trouble selling tickets even with reduced capacity.

Well this is interesting.

Who's that? Who's out there who's going to contribute in any meaningful way any more than the g-League guys they have in spots 9-14 now?

I'm fine with a feel good vet getting his due at the end of a snake-bitten season for the Cavs.

That’s you. That sentimental bullshit does nothing for me. Take care.

Wasted spot? Its an odd decision but less than 10 games left and have you seen the backend of our roster. The lsat 5 on our roster would barely make an ok G-League team right now.

I don't get the wasted spot take either. I just don't know who in the G League would be worth checking out anyway. Of the top 12 scorers, we have two already on the team who marginally contribute(Thomas and Martin), traded away the top scorer(Porter Jr), waived another (Rayjon Tucker), and everyone else is under contract with other teams except for Jeremy Lin. I just can't see why anyone would have a problem with this, especially when we're trying to limp across the finish line of the season and vie for better draft position by losing anyway. Signing Andy this late in the season seems like a non-issue to me.

I don't think the healing can truly begin until a team(probably the Spurs) hires Wang Zhizhi as the first Chinese NBA coach.
