Game #27 | Thunder @ Cavs | Dec. 10, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm watching these interviewers interview Mobley. One of them has their smartphone recording his answers like a mic. The screen is facing the TV camera.

You can see their dirty ass grease/oil finger marks on the phone screen that looks like they eat bacon for a living.

Three of our best 3P shooters were in street clothes today(Mitchell, Love, Wade)

The two guys you would normally expect to carry us from 3P(Garland and Osman) were 1-9 from 3P

So big shout out to LeVert, Mobley, Stevens, and Okoro for going a combined 10-21 from 3P with each of them having at least 2made 3’s

Much different game if they don’t step up from distance like that.

This all day! And because he has to put up a herculean effort to create in a slow-stagnant offense, he gets exhausted. With that exhaustion comes turn-overs. Now garland does have his lapses, but that comes from being a young point guard and can be fixed with proper coaching.
That’s very encouraging!

Except - where can he get proper coaching?

Missed the game tonight! Had an emergency with LE tonight!! I see we won….did we look good or was it a sloppy win?

Very impressed with the way the Cavs rallied after losing a big lead. The Thunder tied the game at the 7:05 mark of the 4th and it looked like another choke was coming but the Cavs responded with a 15-4 run to put the game away. Just the opposite of last night.

Mobley and Stevens hit huge 3-pointers during that run - these are not the guys you want taking them but they came through in clutch time. Both of them had very good games. Stevens with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and a game high +15 was impressive. I like his mid-range jumper. They had Stevens guarding SGA when he was on the floor and he managed to keep SGA reasonably contained.

Mobley was 21/12 and Allen 21/11, which is what you want to see out of them every night. Allen had 21 points on only 9 shots but he needs to shoot free throws better. Mobley had 12 points in the 4th quarter when the game was on the line.

Garland had six more turnovers and was 3-for-9 from the field, but he did dish out 8 assists. He's still struggling.

I like that seven-footer on the Thunder - Pokusevski. He's long, active, and athletic. He finished with 16 points, 14 boards, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. He was 3-for-3 from deep. He really helped them stay in the game on a night when we did a great job on SGA, holding him to 23 points.

The Cavs' defense was pretty good except for a stretch early in the 4th where the Thunder hit four 3's in a row, mostly uncontested from the corner. The Cavs held the 6th highest scoring team to 102, so that was a solid night on defense.

The offense was just good enough. Everybody chipped in - Okoro had a couple of big 3's. Like another poster said - when Mobley, Stevens, and Okoro are hitting 3's, even if it's just a couple, it really helps a lot.

We were ahead the whole game except in the 4th quarter where we blew a 16-point lead and they tied us. We then went on a 10-0 run lead by Stevens and Mobley.

Oh well. Just keep on scraping as many wins as possible. HCA in the playoffs is going to be huge for this team. Might be the difference between a second round gentlemen's sweep of us and a seven game ECF series.

12 offensive rebounds against only 11 turnovers for the Cavs. The Thunder are worst in the league at defensive rebounding and the Cavs exploited that tonight.

We had some bad shooting; Cedi and Garland combined to go 1-for-8 on 3's and Allen missed six free throws or this game would not have been in doubt.
