He said he added 10 lbs this summer. He's 185 right now but is shooting for 195 lbs.I wonder if he has gained the magic 7 lbs yet.

You could play him at the 2 with Wade at the 3 and have enough length on the court to help cover his defensive shortcomings. Also, Wade’s typically not hunting his own shot and Bates always is. I think it would be more of a problem to pair him with Okoro or Struss at the 3.
I would assume Niang over DamianYou really have the potential for a very big "small lineup" doing that. Here is my huge "small lineup"
Levert
Emoni
Wade
Damian Jones
Mobley
1 guy who can't shoot. 2 7 footers, 2 6'9 guys and a shrimpy 6'7" guy
I would assume Niang over Damian
George "The Minivan" Niang is far too stout & girthy to qualify for the huge "small lineup" proposedI would assume Niang over Damian
I do wonder if he will get Min at the 2
Maybe if Caris can tread water at the 3 for spurts but our other wing options lack the requisite ball handling if we think Emoni can’t immediately contribute there. Hopefully he can be a secondary ball handler, as I think his pathway to filling bench minutes is a lot easier if we can mix his minutes at both spots.
This team is flying under the radar all summer can’t wait to see this team with the spacing we got now
