23-24 Trade Deadline: What Can Koby Cook Up? (Kitchen Is Closed)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That rotation isn’t going to change no matter how bad it is.
Wade, along with Okoro, was the first player off the bench last night. Do you believe he should be starting?

Is it a raw minutes issue?

I’m trying to figure out where the issue truly lies. He and Niang are playing relatively equal minutes lately. George had 6 more yesterday.

Are there other player(s) you believe are solely ahead of Wade because of reasons that aren’t based on play? If so, who?

If you were objectively building the Cavs’ rotation, what would it look like? Be as detailed as you’d like, but I’d love as much as possible.

Just trying to fully understand where you’re coming from.

Y'all are scaring me. We aren't trading wade for scrubs are we?

I'm not suggesting they do something just to do something. But when your main competition is improving. You would also like to improve your roster and chances.
what are you will to trade ? How much better will the player we get back be than what we traded? I think trading wade for royce does not improve us. It weakens us on defense. It would only be done to make DM happy

Where did I say I wanted Royce? Acquiring a better back up big then Jones or TT should be the goal.

Dean’s been scheduled for 5 minutes per half. Better defender and shooter than one that plays 25 and one that plays 18 per game. And that’s about all I’m going to say.

I did not say you did, it is just what the rumor is.did. I agree on the big for sure

Since you aren’t using names, I’m going to assume Okoro is the player you’re referring to.

Do you believe Okoro and Wade play the same role and are competing for minutes?

To my eye, Wade is used as a forward, particularly to defend opposing wings. Okoro is used to defend opposing guards at the point of attack.

I’m of the belief that the Cavs’ second unit is at its best when they’re sharing the floor…

Do you think there’s something Im missing?

If you want to avoid discussing “Dean vs X”, then I’d again ask what your version of the Cavs’ best rotation would look like. That way you aren’t worried about oversharing.

I know Royce and Don played in Utah and developed a friendship, but I highly doubt Mitchell is pushing for the Cavs to trade for Royce. He’s a a smart guy, I’m sure he knows Wade is more valuable then O’Neal. Would he suggest they sign O’Neal this offseason? sure, but I highly doubt he’s begging the front office to trade a rotational player for him today.

It’s not Okoro. Just look at their shooting stats and defensive ratings and see who’s playing the 3 or 4 all the time.

Niang and Strus I would think. LeVert gets almost all his minutes in the backcourt and the only other candidate would be Mobley and I doubt that’s the answer.

Niang there’s a good case Wade deserves more minutes. Max is tougher because he does a lot more all around.

You do realize we all love your guy, right? He’s about as good as getting his body on an opponent as anyone out there. He’s a big reason we won despite injuries.

The acid test will be the playoffs. If JBB plays Niang when he’s leaking points and not scoring then he’ll lose games and be done here.

Great to see Dean shooting with no hesitation.

I can only think of one good reason to trade Wade.
