i would like to ask the mods something. I know they are trying REALLY hard to clean up the board and i think it needs it. there has clearly been a drop in quality vs quantity in the last couple of weeks, however as predicted as soon as the trading deadline passed everything eased up. New posters left, got banned, got bored, whatever and like last year there has clearly been a shake out of these posters.
However, mods keep talking about wanting to clean up everything. In the last couple of days threads keep getting moved from one forum to the next by different mods depending on which mod thinks it fits into which forum. A couple of examples, one thread was about the TNT guys talking down about the cavs (clearly talking about the cavs) yet somehow it ended up in the NBA forum, because??? but then a day later either a new thread was started which is still there, a new thread was started and threads were moved, or the thread was moved back. Im still not sure what happened, but not matter how you cut it, it shows the mods to be overzealous.
another example the shaq thread, which is now in the trade ideas forum while the "which free agent" thread is still in the cavs forum. Im not sure I follow the logic on how these should be in different forums, or why it is that now the trade deadline has passed a thread about shaq getting bought out is in the "trade ideas" forum. I understand there cant not be a forum for everything, but please be realistic, when a thread is VERY CLEARLY talking about the cavs i feel as though it should end up in the cavs forum (especially as its not a trade).
additionally there is a quote about cleaning up the message board that I really take exception too in the new rules.
This to me is totally unacceptable. Its one thing if everything were in one forum, however with threads being divided up all over (often as pointed out with no real logic), and many threads taking many different turns, I think it makes it almost impossible to be sure that you arent starting a previously covered topic. We should not be threatening members on this board for trying to bring in new information.
I would humbly like to request things get eased up a bit. I have been here for a very long time and while things clearly hit a bump last week, everything returns to the status quo. It returned last year, it returned the year before that. I understand the need for moderation but i believe there is a difference between keeping things under control (which needed to happen last week) and being over bearing, and its getting very close to that in my opinion.
I have never and will never ask to be a mod, but I do hope you take this into consideration.

So if you start threads relating to a subject already being discussed in another forum, you are on our radar. Please stop starting new threads for every random thought in your head.
