I have to give props to the Phillies and Lee.. Pure dominance...

I actually left that titanic in the top of the 8th...Cold and miserable... Then I found out the Cavs are on pace to challenge the 02-03 Cavs, and it's a double whammy...

Lee was unbelievable. 9 innings, 10 Ks, only run was on an error... man oh man Cliff.

This is exactly what I wanted to see, Lee dominating and CC showing his true colors lqtm.
CC was pretty good as well.. Just two mistakes to Utley.

Great gif CHIMOCHIS. He was so nonchalant about that catch. Cliff is such a laid back guy. You would have thought he was pitching a spring training game.

and just think we all got the exactly same commentary watching the game

:chuckles:

sorry i had to do it. the announcers said each one of those things at least twice

Yankees loss > Cavs loss.

The night has been Salvaged.

Actually, I think no one has any clue where the hell you're going with that one.

*sigh*

He equated a one game matchup between Cliff Lee and CC Sabathia with determining who is 'superior' to the other. I used the comparison then of Dwight Howard's Magic beating LeBron's Cavs in last year's ECF. I don't think that the Finals last year determined who was the better player, and I don't see how a one game matchup between CC and Lee determines who is a better pitcher. I figured that was obvious- I guess I was wrong.

What would me being a Laker fan have anything to do with the Yankees? :dunno:

Anyways, I am not rooting for the Yankees. I don't really like baseball...I only watch because it's the only sport on this time of year. Yankees look good and A-Rod, the supposed anti-clutch is playing out of his mind. They just look almost unstoppable at times.

of course you are, youre a lakers fan, let me guess, you also are a huge Cowboys fan...

Damn. That's my bad I guess. I wasn't really listening to the game that closely. Maybe that was my unconscious mind bringing those quotes back :chuckles: Well, no matter who said those things, you have to admit that they're very true.

No.

It's a sum of a couple years of several people wondering if Lee is actually a better PITCHER. I think he is, and tonight might be the nail in the coffin, so to speak, for people who think Sabathia is better.

He has a better sexy "power" arm, and is younger, but Lee is a better pitcher. Just what I and many others believe. Last night only confirmed it.

Besides, your example was god awful, no offense. Sabathia himself is responsible for giving up two bombs to one guy. Cliff lee is solely responsible for holding the Yankees to zilch. Dwight Howard is NOT solely responsible for owning the Cavs.

Lee 2008 - 2.54 ERA, 22-3, 170 strike outs, 34 walks.
CC 2008 - 2.70 ERA, 17-10, 251 strike outs, 59 walks

Lee 2009 - 3.22 ERA, 14-13, 181 strike outs, 43 walks
CC 2009 - 3.37 ERA, 19-8, 197 strike outs, 67 walks

Lee 2009 playoffs - .54 ERA, 3-0, 30 strike outs, 3 walks, win vs CC
CC 2009 playoffs - 1.52 ERA, 3-1, 26 strike outs, 6 walks, loss vs Lee
both with 4 games started in the post-season.

It's not off one game, Lee is clearly the better pitcher.

Funny..:chuckles:

It's not on this video, but the tag on Posada when he patted him on the ass was such a cock bastard move... Funny though...
