Bosh trade

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah I would think something along the lines of Andy, JJ, Delonte + (Buyout Cash), Parker 2011 First round Pick for Bosh and Hedo/Calderon would do the trick. Remember they said they were interested in getting Parker back.

Move Parker if we can get Calderon

Raptors not getting offers they expected? @jadande reports Raptors losing interest in @chrisbosh deal, source says http://es.pn/aGVuDD

Wherever Chris Bosh heads next, he'll likely have to do so on his own -- and at a slightly discounted rate.

The Toronto Raptors have become increasingly disenchanted with the idea of helping Bosh obtain a maximum contract via a sign-and-trade deal, according to a league source.

Because of the higher annual raises and additional year a "home" team can offer its own player, Bosh could make $125.5 million over six years if he re-signed with the Raptors and they moved him elsewhere; he could make $96.1 million over five years by signing outright with another team.

The difference in the first five years of the deal would amount to $4 million.

It's no secret that this year's free-agent actions are being driven in large part by the threat of a locked-out 2011, ESPN.com's J.A. Adande writes. Story

Sign-and-trades allow for players to obtain the most money while their old team benefits by at least getting some assets in return.

The right combination of players, manageable contracts, draft picks and a trade exception could have enticed the Raptors to accommodate Bosh.

The Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks are believed to have submitted trade proposals for Bosh to the Raptors, and apparently none has impressed Toronto.

Bosh's Twitterization of the courting process, which included several tweets of anticipation leading up to the July 1 commencement of free agency, didn't sit well with the Raptors either, the source said.

Bosh met with the Rockets and Raptors at the onset of the free agent market and over the past two days met with the Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls at the Chicago office of his agent, Henry Thomas.

The philosophical change on the Raptors' part restricts Bosh's choices to the teams with sufficient salary cap space to offer a max contract: the Bulls, Clippers, Heat, Knicks and Nets.

It also hampers teams who hoped to acquire Bosh via trade while preserving their cap space to use on another player or players.

According to the source, Bosh, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James are still intrigued by the possibility of all playing together, be it in Miami, Chicago or elsewhere.

I would try whatever possible to pry Jack out of their hands. Having a big defensive bodied point guard is one of our biggest needs at the moment.

I really would not mind Hedo because he is clutch, and he can create his own shot.

Bosh....

dont even get me started on that, I could talk for hours.

different opinion

Scott @ WFNY WFNYScott

#Raptors are officially in #Indians camp - take what you can get or get nothing for your star player

different opinion

This seems more believeable. I just can't believe they would let him walk for nothing. If they trade with us, they get young players, and can get rid of their worst contracts as W&G and Windhorst have already alluded to.

What I got out of it was that they're saying f off to teams with cap space trying to send them garbage.

Free-agent buzz: Bosh thinking things over

By Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears, Yahoo! Sports

Toronto Raptors free-agent forward Chris Bosh went to his hometown of Dallas to rest and contemplate his free-agency options on Saturday after meetings with prospective teams, according to a source.

The Raptors are still open-minded about the possibility of a sign-and-trade with their All-Star and have done extensive research on possible scenarios with each potential trade partner. The Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers are among the teams in the luxury tax who have interest in a possible sign-and-trade for Bosh.

On Bosh’s and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade’s free-agency situations, their agent, Henry Thomas, said via text: “The guys are simply processing all of the info they have received over the past couple of days. Taking some time to take it all in.”

WTF? Why wouldn't Cleveland be on that list? What does Dallas, Spurs, and Nuggets have to get Bosh?

The positive thing that I got from this whole fiasco today involving the Raptors is that Broussard said the Raptors were willing to do a S&T with the Cavs for Bosh... That means if/when LeBron comes back, all he needs to do is convince Bosh to come here because we'd have all the other bases covered..

The Cavs are in one of the best positions to offer a combination of things to the Raptors as long as LeBron can convince Bosh to come here...

I'm thinking that the Cavs, once LeBron in hand, may try and go after someone like Ray Allen and then go to Bosh and say "look we have Mo, Jamison, Allen, LeBron and you could potentially complete the team"... While Allen may not be a better fit than say Mike Miller, Allen is a name and could help entice Bosh more so than getting Miller would...

Agreed. If we could get Allen or maybe even Mike for sure, Bosh would probably come here.

That's full of crap. Do you honestly think they would consider getting nothing for Bosh better than potentially getting rid of Hedo or Calderon's contract along with receiving Andy, JJ, saving money on Delonte's deal, a first round pick, and potentially more? Give me a freaking break! Not to mention all these players are coming from a winning environment, something the Raptors could use a taste of. We're not shipping them perennial losers.

In fords write up he deliberately blasts chicago and miamis offers but there is no moention of cleveland. I took this to mean that cleveland has a decent offer on the table that cant be blasted and so it was left out of his article as it contradicts his point
