2012 Draft Crush

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well here is a little support for Selby:

Aaron Wilson of Scout.com is "hearing" that South Carolina WR Alshon Jeffery is down to 217-220 pounds and intends to run in the 4.5s at the Combine.
The 217-220 range would be ideal for Jeffery, and running in the 4.5s could save him from the draft-day plunge projected by some after rumors surfaced that he weighed 249 and was running 4.88 as of January. "We'll see," allows Wilson. Jeffery is the most polarizing wide receiver in the 2012 draft class.

Once again it's still all hearsay, but definitely positive news going into the combine.

I think we all want the team to improve. It just seems like you want any prospect or FA on the Browns.

You can't fault his strategy though. If the Browns were to somehow get every single player in the draft this year and sign every FA this off-season, I'm sure we could field a pretty good team. Plus, it would prevent other teams from improving. :chuckles:

Which is better in my book than trading the entire team and a shot at any other prospects in order to grab one of them, which seems closer to what you would do.

Don't know where you are getting that from. I have never suggested "trading the entire team" at any point on this forum. Infact, I barely post on the Browns board now with the Cavs season going on. The only things I have mentioned here the last fews days were 1. Colt isn't out guy 2. I think we should take RG3 (never mentioned trading anything for him) and 3. Not a fan of trading down. Thats it. So instead of pulling false information out your butt, maybe actually read what I have to say if it matters that much to you.

If Broyles is there late, I'd take him. We need hands and he has them. Also, he's young enough to recover fully from his injury.

I really like this low risk high reward type pick.

Regarding Jeffery: I haven't seen him play a down of ball, but I know that if a prospect can't keep himself in shape when he is in COLLEGE, then how does that bode for when he's getting paid a significant amount of money?

Stay away.

He may intend to run a 4.5 but actually doing that is something else. Just like Blackmon intends to run a 4.4 to 4.5 even though it will probably be closer to 4.6 for both.

He isn't going to come out and say he intends to run a 4.9 now is he...

Trent Richardson had knee surgery, won’t do Combine drills

Every year, an injury surprise pops up in connection with the Scouting Combine. This year, the first surprise comes from Alabama running back Trent Richardson.

According to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, Richardson suffered a knee injury in practice preceding the BCS national championship game last month. As a result, he had “minor” arthroscopic surgery on the knee, and Richardson will not participate in on-field drills in Indy.

Richardson, who rushed for 96 yards against LSU despite the injury, nevertheless plans to participate fully in the Alabama Pro Day workout on March 7.

I really like Ryan Broyles if there was some how we could get him in the third that would be an absoulte steal...
