The problem besides our obvious lack of outside shooting, is that Syracuse will feast on the offensive glass. Q gets away with playing the 4 against non rebounding teams...I don't see that happening here. The other big thing as it pertains to our porous offense, is to beat Cuse you need a skilled big to be able to flash middle and make a play upon reception. You can try and use Ross in that role but that means you're taking him off the perimeter where he's most comfortable. And besides Ross, I can't think of a single player on OSU's roster that can hurt Syracuse in the middle. This is where we will desperately miss DeShaun.
And unfortunately, Cuse's zone is typically ripe for the picking for offensive rebounds, but I don't see Ohio State being able to exploit that. On paper, our weaknesses and strengths play right into their favor. Assuming Cuse and OSU meet up which is a big assumption, I think Cuse will be a 6-8 point favorite. Jordan Sibbert would be a nice weapon against that zone...
