2013 American League Playoffs -|- Wild Card Game -|- October 2nd.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am sure I am not the only one who thinks this but... $&%$@$#%&^%5## Alex Cobb! Dear Danny Salazar, If you are not our ACE of the night Please be for the future. Francona Trusts you, The fans Trust you, If you lose at least compete! Oh I am so excited for this game that well!... %$#@3**^%$$#@$^!

You guys are underestimating the impact of having destiny on our side. We have, time and again, seen miraculous finishes and this season has been nothing short of one giant upset.

We've got more magic up our sleeves.

They won't touch Salazar.

Its going to be a 2-1 game. I just hope were the 2.

Also I hope the Reds get blown out.

Has one of you been breeding the midges this year?

Just want to make sure they can strategically be released again if we need them.

Will crabs work? Got a bunch of them.

Not sure who I would rather face, Price or Cobb. But in the playoffs, you are going to see the top 3 pitchers and you are gonna have to beat them one way or another.

The Indians have a decent shot here, and having home field is huge. Having an extra day of rest should help too. (especially seeing all the booze on Sunday) Tampa is a .500 team on the road. Tribe has a .629 winning percentage at home. Tribe is 2-4 against Tampa this year, 0-1 vs. Cobb.

Both teams have guys and managers who have been here before. Will come down to pitching and defense. Plus if all else fails we can just pinch hit Giambi in the 9th.

I'm just worried the offense is going to go cold again because we had days off. Team is so streaky you can never tel what a couple off off days is going to do to us. I also question starting Salazar but I mean it would allow Ubaldo and Kazmir to pitch ALDS which is the reason I am guessing he is going with him.

I really don't want to lose Wed.

They didn't choose Salazar over Ubaldo. He just pitched Sunday and you can't use him on 2 days rest.

Kazmir, not that he was ever really an option for this game, but he'd be going on 3 days rest.

Since we needed Ubaldo to get home field and Kluber has looked rusty, Salazar was next in line.

Salazar has the best stuff out of any pitcher on the team and hasn't pitched against TB this year so it'll be the first time they're actually hitting against him. That's a big deal.

He also looks like Osama bin Laden.

This'll be the toughest test of the entire postseason. If we can just survive Wednesday I love, love our chances going forward. Don't ask me why, I just do.

Great to see the organization honoring Thunder like this.

I usually don't let sports affect my nerves, day, etc. But man I woke up with a pit in my stomach and nerves. So nervous but so excited. Haven't been like this in a while... and the game is TOMORROW.

EDIT: Sports don't get to me... minus when my friend and I did this to xbox games (and broke an old Xbox) after the Cavs got knocked out by the Magic (one of my mature moments):

Yeah I do want to believe this. This team is special, but Cobb just scares me. Especially since they saw him once. BUT I will say, he faced a pretty non-gelled crappy team back then.

1) This is true, and hilarious.

2) Regular season matchups mean nothing in the Postseason, in any sport. It's 100% about how those teams play in the moment. Case in point, in 2007 we went 0-6 against the Yankees during the regular season. Like, got hammered. (3-10, 2-9, 2-11 were just a few of the scores). And then knocked them cleanly out of the playoffs. Coincidentally, same year the Cavs dominated the Spurs in both matchups during the 2006-07 season, and then got pounded by them in the Finals.
