2014-15 Regular Season Thread

If there was ever any doubt about the incompetence of this organization prior to Lebron's return; look no further than the roster and BOS org that just made the playoffs, all without the hollowed 'ownership mandate'.

It's actually pretty amazing what they are doing I think they are like 22-10 after the break. Stevens is a hell if a coach

Hell, Utah has won 38 games this season after a slow start (in the west no less) and that includes basically giving Kanter away.

I had pegged them as a team likely to be terrible again this year as they continued down rebuild road out west, but they look like they are poised to be ready to compete sooner than later if they can get some higher level PG play.

Milwaukee is another team that should have been terrible this year especially given the injury problems they've had. Turns out Kidd is a hell of a coach.

There are far less total black holes right now than I can remember in years past as I look forward to next season. Lots of teams seem poised to start turning the corner like we saw with NO this season finally taking that step.

So tomorrow is Toronto @ Boston. Which of the two is thinking if we lose we can avoid the Cavs (Toronto obviously in the 2nd round should they make it)? I for one am of the thought "be careful what you ask for." Should be interesting.

If I were Toronto, I'd try to lose. Milwaukee is also playing better basketball than Washington.

ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo

Russell Westbrook- 36 pts, 11 rebounds in win Westbrook's 10th 30 & 10 game this season- only player with more: Anthony Davis (14) 19m

That's crazy, especially having missed so many games. I kind of hope OKC gets in because I would love to see Russ try and take out GS by himself in the first round. If nothing else it would be wildly entertaining.

The guy on the right is Raptors' Bruno Caboclo - the 6'9 guy with 7'7 wingspan. This looks unnatural. Does his fingers touch his knees when standing straight up? Wow.

The upcoming game between the Heat and 76ers might just be one of the most historically awful games in league history. Whoever loses is just about guaranteed to keep Miami's first rounder. This very well may end up looking like a college score when all is said and done.

I just read about this.

I am very curious how the coaches handle rotations for this one.

I expect we are going to see a heavy helping of Zoran Dragic and Henry Sims. :chuckle:

Just trying to understand here ...

Miami currently has the 10th worst record (meaning they'd keep their pick as long as the lottery doesn't royally screw them). They have 36 wins, and Brooklyn ( who has the 11th worst record) has 37.

If the Heat win and Brooklyn loses, they're tied. I'm guessing (based off the previous posts) that some sort of tiebreaker between Miami/Brooklyn would result in the Heat moving to 11th worst record instead of Brooklyn?

---------

Also, Miami could win tonight and still remain 10th worst record if Brooklyn also wins. Brooklyn plays home against a crappy Orlando team, so Brooklyn could easily win that game. And the Nets have no reason to lose intentionally considering the Hawks own their 1st round pick this year.
